2 ELB-BK: Ps. 10,2 In seinem Hochmut verfolgt der Gottlose hitzig den Elenden¹. Sie werden erhascht werden in den Anschlägen, die sie ersonnen haben.	2 KJV: Ps. 10,2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.¹
3 ELB-BK: Ps. 10,3 Denn der Gottlose rühmt sich des Gelüstes seiner SeeleSeele ; und er segnet den Habsüchtigen, er verachtet den HERRN.	3 KJV: Ps. 10,3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.²³

1 Warum, HERR, stehst du fern, verbirgst dich in Zeiten der Drangsal?

1 Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

2 In seinem Hochmut verfolgt der Gottlose hitzig den Elenden¹. Sie werden erhascht werden in den Anschlägen, die sie ersonnen haben.

2 The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.¹

3 Denn der Gottlose rühmt sich des Gelüstes seiner Seele; und er segnet den Habsüchtigen, er verachtet den HERRN.

3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.²³

4 Der Gottlose spricht nach seinem Hochmut²: Er wird nicht nachforschen. Alle seine Gedanken sind: Es ist kein Gott!

4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.⁴

5 Es gelingen seine Wege³ allezeit; hoch sind deine Gerichte, weit von ihm entfernt; alle seine Widersacher – er bläst sie an.

5 His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

6 Er spricht in seinem Herzen: Ich werde nicht wanken; von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht werde ich in keinem Unglück sein.

6 He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.⁵

7 Sein Mund ist voll Fluchens und Truges und Bedrückung; unter seiner Zunge ist Mühsal und Unheil.

8 Er sitzt im Hinterhalt der Dörfer, an verborgenen Örtern ermordet er den Unschuldigen; seine Augen spähen dem Unglücklichen nach.

8 He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.⁸

9 Er lauert im Versteck, wie ein Löwe in seinem Dickicht; er lauert, um den Elenden zu erhaschen; er erhascht den Elenden, indem er ihn in sein Netz zieht.

9 He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.⁹

10 Er duckt sich, bückt sich, und in seine starken Klauen fallen die Unglücklichen.

13 Warum verachtet der Gottlose Gott, spricht in seinem Herzen: Du wirst nicht nachforschen?

13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it.

14 Du hast es gesehen, denn du, du schaust auf Mühsal und Kummer, um zu vergelten durch deine Hand. Dir überlässt es der Unglückliche. Der Waise Helfer bist du.

14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.¹³

15 Zerbrich den Arm des Gottlosen; und der Böse – suche⁶ seine Gottlosigkeit, bis dass du sie nicht mehr findest!

15 Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.

16 Der HERR ist König immer und ewiglich; die Nationen sind umgekommen aus seinem Land.

16 The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land.

17 Den Wunsch der Sanftmütigen hast du gehört, HERR; du befestigtest ihr Herz, ließest dein Ohr aufmerksam zuhören,

17 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:¹⁴

18 um Recht zu schaffen der Waise und dem Unterdrückten, dass der Mensch, der von der Erde ist, von nun an nicht mehr schrecke.

18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.¹⁵
