2 GottGott ist uns ZufluchtZuflucht und Stärke, eine Hilfe, reichlich gefunden2 in Drangsalen.1 To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.1
3 Darum werden wir uns nicht fürchten, wenngleich gewandelt würde die ErdeErde, und wenn die BergeBerge wankten im Herzen des MeeresMeeres,2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;2
4 wenn seine Wasser tobten und schäumten, die BergeBerge erbebten durch sein Ungestüm. (SelaSela.)3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
5 Ein Strom – seine Bäche erfreuen die Stadt GottesGottes, das HeiligtumHeiligtum der Wohnungen des Höchsten.4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
6 GottGott ist in ihrer Mitte, sie wird nicht wanken; GottGott wird ihr helfen beim Anbruch des MorgensMorgens.5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.3
7 Es toben die NationenNationen, die Königreiche wanken; er lässt seine Stimme erschallen: Die ErdeErde zerschmilzt.6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
8 Der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen ist mit uns, eine hohe FestungFestung ist uns der GottGott JakobsJakobs. (SelaSela.)7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.4
9 Kommt, schaut die Großtaten des HERRN, der3 Verheerungen angerichtet hat auf der ErdeErde!8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
10 Der die KriegeKriege beschwichtigt bis an das Ende der ErdeErde, den BogenBogen zerbricht und den SpeerSpeer zerschlägt, die WagenWagen mit FeuerFeuer verbrennt.9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
11 Lasst ab und erkennt, dass ich GottGott bin! Ich werde erhöht werden unter den NationenNationen, ich werde erhöht werden auf der ErdeErde.10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
