1 Und SalomoSalomo, der SohnSohn DavidsDavids, erstarkte in seinem Königreich; und der HERR, sein GottGott, war mit ihm und machte ihn überaus groß.1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
2 Und SalomoSalomo redete zu ganz IsraelIsrael, zu den Obersten über 1000 und über 100, und zu den RichternRichtern und zu allen Fürsten von ganz IsraelIsrael, den Häuptern der Väter1;2 Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.
3 und sie gingen, SalomoSalomo und die ganze VersammlungVersammlung mit ihm, nach der HöheHöhe, die in GibeonGibeon war2; denn dort war das ZeltZelt der Zusammenkunft GottesGottes, das MoseMose, der KnechtKnecht des HERRN, in der WüsteWüste gemacht hatte.3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.
4 Jedoch die LadeLade GottesGottes hatte DavidDavid von Kirjat-JearimKirjat-Jearim heraufgebracht an den Ort, den DavidDavid für sie bereitet hatte; denn er hatte ihr in JerusalemJerusalem ein ZeltZelt aufgeschlagen.4 But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
5 Und der kupferne AltarAltar, den BezaleelBezaleel, der SohnSohn UrisUris, des SohnesSohnes HursHurs, gemacht hatte, war dort vor der Wohnung des HERRN; und SalomoSalomo und die VersammlungVersammlung besuchten ihn. 5 Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.1
6 Und SalomoSalomo opferte dort vor dem HERRN auf dem kupfernen AltarAltar, der bei dem ZeltZelt der Zusammenkunft war; und er opferte auf demselben 1000 BrandopferBrandopfer. 6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.
7 In3 dieser NachtNacht erschien GottGott dem SalomoSalomo und sprach zu ihm: Bitte, was ich dir geben soll. 7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8 Und SalomoSalomo sprach zu GottGott: Du hast ja an DavidDavid, meinem VaterVater, große Güte erwiesen, und du hast mich zum König gemacht an seiner statt:8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
9 nun möge sich, GottGott, der HERR, dein WortWort bewähren, das du zu meinem VaterVater DavidDavid geredet hast4! Denn du hast mich zum König gemacht über ein Volk, das zahlreich ist wie der StaubStaub der ErdeErde. 9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.2
10 Gib mir nun Weisheit und ErkenntnisErkenntnis, dass ich vor diesem Volk aus- und eingehen möge; denn wer könnte dieses dein großes Volk richten? –10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
11 Und GottGott sprach zu SalomoSalomo: Weil dieses in deinem Herzen gewesen ist und du nicht gebeten hast um Reichtum, Güter und Ehre5 und um das LebenLeben derer, die dich hassen, und auch nicht um viele TageTage gebeten, sondern dir Weisheit und ErkenntnisErkenntnis erbeten hast, damit du mein Volk richten mögest, über das ich dich zum König gemacht habe:11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12 so sind dir Weisheit und ErkenntnisErkenntnis gegeben; und Reichtum und Güter und Ehre will ich dir geben, dergleichen die KönigeKönige, die vor dir gewesen sind, nicht gehabt haben und dergleichen keiner nach dir haben wird.12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
13 Und SalomoSalomo kam von der HöheHöhe, die in GibeonGibeon war, von6 dem ZeltZelt der Zusammenkunft nach JerusalemJerusalem. Und er regierte über IsraelIsrael.13 Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.
14 Und7 SalomoSalomo brachte WagenWagen und Reiter zusammen, und er hatte 1400 WagenWagen und 12000 Reiter; und er verlegte sie in die Wagenstädte und zu dem König nach JerusalemJerusalem.14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
15 Und der König machte das SilberSilber und das GoldGold in JerusalemJerusalem den Steinen gleich, und die ZedernZedern machte er den Sykomoren gleich, die in der Niederung8 sind, an Menge. 15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.3
16 Und die Ausfuhr der PferdePferde für SalomoSalomo geschah aus Ägypten; und ein Zug Handelsleute des Königs holte einen Zug um Geld9. 16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.4
17 Und sie brachten herauf und führten aus Ägypten einen WagenWagen aus für 600 SekelSekel SilberSilber, und ein PferdPferd für 150. Und so führte man für alle KönigeKönige der HethiterHethiter und für die KönigeKönige von SyrienSyrien durch ihre Hand aus10.17 And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.5
18 Und11 SalomoSalomo gedachte dem NamenNamen des HERRN ein HausHaus zu bauen und ein HausHaus für sein Königtum.1 And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
