Chr. 16,1 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

Chr. 16,2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,¹

Chr. 16,4 And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.²

Chr. 16,6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

Chr. 16,7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

Chr. 16,8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.³
9 ELB-BK: 2. Chr. 16,9 Denn des HERRN AugenAugen durchlaufen die ganze ErdeErde , um sich mächtig zu erweisen an denen, deren HerzHerz ungeteilt auf ihn gerichtet ist. Hierin hast du töricht gehandelt; denn von nun an wirst du KriegeKriege haben.	9 KJV: 2. Chr. 16,9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.⁴
10 ELB-BK: 2. Chr. 16,10 Und AsaAsa wurde ärgerlich über den SeherSeher und legte ihn in das Stockhaus; denn er war deswegen gegen ihn erzürnt. Auch tat AsaAsa in dieser ZeitZeit einigen von dem Volk GewaltGewalt an.	10 KJV: 2. Chr. 16,10 Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.⁵

JahrJahr seiner Regierung erkrankte AsaAsa an seinen Füßen, so dass er überaus krank war; aber auch in seiner KrankheitKrankheit suchte er nicht den HERRN, sondern die Ärzte.	12 KJV: 2. Chr. 16,12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

1 In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

2 Da brachte Asa Silber und Gold heraus aus den Schätzen des Hauses des HERRN und des Hauses des Königs; und er sandte zu Ben-Hadad, dem König von Syrien, der in Damaskus wohnte, und ließ ihm sagen:

2 Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,¹

3 Ein Bund ist zwischen mir und dir und zwischen meinem Vater und deinem Vater. Siehe, ich sende dir Silber und Gold; wohlan! Brich deinen Bund mit Baesa, dem König von Israel, dass er von mir abziehe.

4 Und Ben-Hadad hörte auf den König Asa; und er sandte seine Heerobersten gegen die Städte Israels; und sie schlugen Ijon und Dan und Abel-Majim und alle Vorratsplätze der Städte Naphtalis.

4 And Benhadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abelmaim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.²

5 Und es geschah, als Baesa es hörte, da ließ er von dem Bau Ramas ab und stellte seine Arbeit ein.

5 And it came to pass, when Baasha heard it, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.

6 Der König Asa aber nahm ganz Juda, und sie schafften die Steine Ramas und dessen Holz weg, womit Baesa gebaut hatte; und er baute damit Geba und Mizpa.

6 Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

7 Und in dieser Zeit kam Hanani, der Seher, zu Asa, dem König von Juda, und sprach zu ihm: Weil du dich auf den König von Syrien gestützt hast und hast dich nicht auf den HERRN, deinen Gott, gestützt, darum ist das Heer des Königs von Syrien deiner Hand entronnen.

7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

8 Waren nicht die Kuschiter und die Libyer eine zahlreiche Heeresmacht, mit Wagen und Reitern in großer Menge? Aber weil du dich auf den HERRN stütztest, gab er sie in deine Hand.

9 Denn des HERRN Augen durchlaufen die ganze Erde, um sich mächtig zu erweisen an denen, deren Herz ungeteilt auf ihn gerichtet ist. Hierin hast du töricht gehandelt; denn von nun an wirst du Kriege haben.
