2 Befestigt² ist mein Herz, o Gott! Ich will singen und Psalmen singen, auch meine Seele³.

3 Wacht auf, Harfe und Laute! Ich will aufwecken die Morgenröte.

2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

4 Ich will dich preisen unter den Völkern, HERR, und dich besingen unter den Völkerschaften;

3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.

5 denn groß ist deine Güte über die Himmel hinaus, und bis zu den Wolken deine Wahrheit.

4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.¹

6 Erhebe dich über die Himmel, o Gott! Und über der ganzen Erde sei deine Herrlichkeit!

7 Damit⁴ befreit werden deine Geliebten, rette durch deine Rechte und erhöre uns!

10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

12 Nicht du, Gott, der du uns verworfen hast und nicht auszogst, o Gott, mit unseren Heeren?

11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
