1 RufeRufe aus voller Kehle, halte nicht zurück! Erhebe deine Stimme wie eine Posaune und teile meinem Volk seine Übertretung1 mit und dem HausHaus JakobJakob seine Sünden! 1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.1
2 Und doch fragen sie nach mir TagTag für TagTag und begehren meine Wege zu kennen; wie eine Nation, die GerechtigkeitGerechtigkeit übt und das Recht ihres GottesGottes nicht verlassen hat, fordern sie von mir GerichteGerichte der GerechtigkeitGerechtigkeit, begehren das Herannahen GottesGottes. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
3 „Warum haben wir gefastetgefastet, und du hast es nicht gesehen, unsere Seelen kasteit, und du hast es nicht gemerkt?“ Siehe, am TagTag eures FastensFastens geht ihr euren Geschäften nach und drängt alle eure Arbeiter2.3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.2
4 Siehe, zu StreitStreit und ZankZank fastetfastet ihr, und um zu schlagen mit boshafter Faust. Heutzutage fastetfastet ihr nicht, um eure Stimme hören zu lassen in der HöheHöhe.4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.3
5 Ist dergleichen ein FastenFasten, an dem ich Gefallen habe, ein TagTag, an dem der MenschMensch seine SeeleSeele kasteit? Seinen KopfKopf zu beugen wie ein SchilfSchilf, und SacktuchSacktuch und AscheAsche unter sich zu betten, nennst du das ein FastenFasten und einen dem HERRN wohlgefälligen TagTag? 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?4
6 Ist nicht dieses ein FastenFasten, an dem ich Gefallen habe: dass man löse die Schlingen der Bosheit, dass man losmache die Knoten des JochesJoches und gewalttätig Behandelte als Freie entlasse und dass ihr jedes JochJoch zersprengt? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?56
7 Besteht es nicht darin, dein BrotBrot dem Hungrigen zu brechen, und dass du verfolgte3 Elende ins HausHaus führst? Wenn du einen Nackten siehst, dass du ihn bedeckst und deinem FleischFleisch dich nicht entziehst? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?7
8 Dann wird dein LichtLicht hervorbrechen wie die MorgenröteMorgenröte, und deine HeilungHeilung wird schnell sprossen; und deine GerechtigkeitGerechtigkeit wird vor dir herziehen, die HerrlichkeitHerrlichkeit des HERRN wird deine Nachhut sein.8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.8
9 Dann wirst du rufen, und der HERR wird antworten; du wirst um Hilfe schreien, und er wird sagen: Hier bin ich! Wenn du das JochJoch, das Fingerausstrecken4 und unheilvolle Reden aus deiner Mitte wegtust,9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 und deine Speise5 dem Hungrigen darreichst und die niedergedrückte SeeleSeele sättigst: so wird dein LichtLicht aufgehen in der FinsternisFinsternis, und dein Dunkel wird sein wie der Mittag.10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday:
11 Und beständig wird der HERR dich leiten, und er wird deine SeeleSeele sättigen in Zeiten6 der Dürre und deine Gebeine rüstig machen. Und du wirst sein wie ein bewässerter GartenGarten und wie eine Wasserquelle, deren Gewässer nicht trügen. 11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.910
12 Und die aus dir kommen, werden die uralten Trümmer aufbauen; die Grundmauern vergangener GeschlechterGeschlechter wirst du aufrichten; und du wirst genannt werden: Vermaurer der Lücken, Wiederhersteller bewohnbarer Straßen.12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
13 Wenn du deinen Fuß vom SabbatSabbat zurückhältst, dass du dein Geschäft nicht tust an meinem heiligen TagTag und den SabbatSabbat ein Ergötzen und den heiligen TagTag des HERRN ehrwürdig nennst; und wenn du ihn ehrst, so dass du nicht deine Wege verfolgst7, dein Geschäft treibst und eitle WorteWorte redest,13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 dann wirst du dich an dem HERRN ergötzen, und ich werde dich umherfahren lassen auf den Höhen der Erde8 und werde dich speisen mit dem ErbteilErbteil JakobsJakobs, deines VatersVaters; denn der Mund des HERRN hat geredet.14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
