1 Das WortWort, das zu JeremiaJeremia geschah an alle1 Juden, die im Land Ägypten wohnten, die in Migdol2 und in TachpanchesTachpanches und in Noph3 und im Land Pathros4 wohnten: 1 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,
2 So spricht der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen, der GottGott IsraelsIsraels: Ihr habt all das Unglück gesehen, das ich über JerusalemJerusalem und über alle Städte JudasJudas gebracht habe; und siehe, sie sind eine EinödeEinöde an diesem TagTag, und niemand wohnt darin,2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,
3 um ihrer Bosheit willen, die sie verübt haben, um mich zu reizen, indem sie hingingen, zu räuchern und anderen GötternGöttern zu dienen, die sie nicht kannten, weder sie noch ihr und eure VäterVäter. 3 Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.
4 Und ich habe alle meine KnechteKnechte, die ProphetenPropheten, zu euch gesandt, früh mich aufmachend und sendend, indem ich sprach: Tut doch nicht diesen GräuelGräuel, den ich hasse!4 Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.
5 Aber sie haben nicht gehört und ihr OhrOhr nicht geneigt, um von ihrer Bosheit umzukehren, dass sie anderen GötternGöttern nicht räucherten.5 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.
6 Da ergoss sich mein Grimm und mein ZornZorn, und er brannte in den Städten JudasJudas und auf den Straßen von JerusalemJerusalem; und sie sind zur EinödeEinöde, zur WüsteWüste geworden, wie es an diesem TagTag ist.6 Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
7 Und nun, so spricht der HERR, der GottGott der HeerscharenHeerscharen, der GottGott IsraelsIsraels: Warum begeht ihr eine so große böse Tat gegen eure Seelen, um euch MannMann und FrauFrau, Kind und Säugling aus JudaJuda auszurotten, so dass ihr euch keinen Überrest übriglasst; 7 Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;1
8 indem ihr mich reizt durch die WerkeWerke eurer Hände, dadurch, dass ihr anderen GötternGöttern räuchert im Land Ägypten, wohin ihr gekommen seid, um euch dort aufzuhalten, damit ihr euch ausrottet und zum FluchFluch und zum Hohn werdet unter allen NationenNationen der ErdeErde?8 In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
9 Habt ihr die bösen Taten eurer VäterVäter vergessen und die bösen Taten der KönigeKönige von JudaJuda und die bösen Taten ihrer Frauen und eure bösen Taten und die bösen Taten eurer Frauen, die sie im Land JudaJuda und auf den Straßen von JerusalemJerusalem begangen haben?9 Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?2
10 Bis auf diesen TagTag sind sie nicht gedemütigt5, und sie haben sich nicht gefürchtet und haben nicht gewandelt in meinem GesetzGesetz und in meinen SatzungenSatzungen, die ich euch und euren VäternVätern vorgelegt habe.10 They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.3
11 Darum, so spricht der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen, der GottGott IsraelsIsraels: Siehe, ich will mein Angesicht gegen euch richten zum Unglück und zur Ausrottung von ganz JudaJuda.11 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.
12 Und ich werde den Überrest von JudaJuda wegraffen, die ihre Angesichter dahin gerichtet haben, in das Land Ägypten zu ziehen, um sich dort aufzuhalten; und sie sollen alle aufgerieben werden, im Land Ägypten sollen sie fallen; durch das SchwertSchwert, durch den Hunger sollen sie aufgerieben werden, vom Kleinsten bis zum Größten; durch das SchwertSchwert und durch den Hunger sollen sie sterben. Und sie sollen zum FluchFluch, zum Entsetzen und zur Verwünschung und zum Hohn werden.12 And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.
13 Und ich will die im Land Ägypten Wohnenden heimsuchen, wie ich JerusalemJerusalem heimgesucht habe durch das SchwertSchwert, durch den Hunger und durch die PestPest.13 For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:
14 Und der Überrest von JudaJuda, der in das Land Ägypten gekommen ist, um sich dort aufzuhalten, wird keinen Entkommenen noch Übriggebliebenen haben, um in das Land JudaJuda zurückzukehren, wohin sie sich sehnen zurückzukehren, um dort zu wohnen; denn sie werden nicht zurückkehren, außer einigen Entkommenen.14 So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.4
15 Und alle Männer, die wussten, dass ihre Frauen anderen GötternGöttern räucherten, und alle Frauen, die in großer Menge dastanden, und alles Volk, das im Land Ägypten in PathrosPathros wohnte, antworteten dem JeremiaJeremia und sprachen:15 Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
16 Was das WortWort betrifft, das du im NamenNamen des HERRN zu uns geredet hast, so werden wir nicht auf dich hören;16 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.
17 sondern wir wollen gewisslich alles tun, was aus unserem Mund hervorgegangen ist, der KöniginKönigin des HimmelsHimmels zu räuchern und ihr TrankopferTrankopfer zu spenden, so wie wir getan haben, wir und unsere VäterVäter, unsere KönigeKönige und unsere Fürsten, in den Städten JudasJudas und auf den Straßen von JerusalemJerusalem. Da hatten wir BrotBrot in Fülle, und es ging uns wohl, und wir sahen kein Unglück. 17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.56
18 Aber seitdem wir aufgehört haben, der KöniginKönigin des HimmelsHimmels zu räuchern und ihr TrankopferTrankopfer zu spenden, haben wir an allem Mangel gehabt und sind durch das SchwertSchwert und durch den Hunger aufgerieben worden.18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
19 Und wenn wir der KöniginKönigin des HimmelsHimmels räucherten und ihr TrankopferTrankopfer spendeten, haben wir ihr denn ohne unsere Männer6 KuchenKuchen bereitet, um sie abzubilden, und ihr TrankopferTrankopfer gespendet?19 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?7
20 Und JeremiaJeremia sprach zu dem ganzen Volk, zu den Männern und zu den Frauen und zu allem Volk, das ihm Antwort gegeben hatte, und sagte: 20 Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,
21 Das Räuchern, mit dem ihr in den Städten JudasJudas und auf den Straßen von JerusalemJerusalem geräuchert habt, ihr und eure VäterVäter, eure KönigeKönige und eure Fürsten und das Volk des Landes – hat nicht der HERR daran gedacht, und ist es ihm nicht in den Sinn gekommen? 21 The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?
22 Und der HERR konnte es nicht mehr ertragen wegen der Bosheit eurer Handlungen, wegen der GräuelGräuel, die ihr verübtet. Darum ist euer Land zur EinödeEinöde, zum Entsetzen und zum FluchFluch geworden, ohne Bewohner, wie es an diesem TagTag ist.22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
23 Weil ihr geräuchert und gegen den HERRN gesündigt und auf die Stimme des HERRN nicht gehört, und in seinem GesetzGesetz und in seinen SatzungenSatzungen und in seinen Zeugnissen nicht gewandelt habt, darum ist euch dieses Unglück widerfahren, wie es an diesem TagTag ist.23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.
24 Und JeremiaJeremia sprach zu dem ganzen Volk und zu allen Frauen: Hört das WortWort des HERRN, alle Juden7, die ihr im Land Ägypten seid! 24 Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:
25 So spricht der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen, der GottGott IsraelsIsraels, und sagt: Ihr und eure Frauen, ihr habt es mit eurem Mund geredet und es mit euren Händen vollführt und gesprochen: Wir wollen unsere GelübdeGelübde gewisslich erfüllen, die wir getan haben, der KöniginKönigin des HimmelsHimmels zu räuchern und ihr TrankopferTrankopfer zu spenden. So haltet nur eure GelübdeGelübde und erfüllt nur eure GelübdeGelübde!25 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.
26 Darum hört das WortWort des HERRN, alle Juden8, die ihr im Land Ägypten wohnt! Siehe, ich habe bei meinem großen NamenNamen geschworen, spricht der HERRHERR: Wenn je wieder mein Name im Mund irgendeines MannesMannes von JudaJuda genannt werden soll, dass er spreche: „So wahr der HerrHerr, HERRHERR, lebt!“ im ganzen Land Ägypten! 26 Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.
27 Siehe, ich wache über sie zum Bösen und nicht zum Guten; und alle Männer von JudaJuda, die im Land Ägypten sind, sollen durch das SchwertSchwert und durch den Hunger aufgerieben werden, bis sie vernichtet sind.27 Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.
28 Und dem SchwertSchwert Entkommene werden aus dem Land Ägypten in das Land JudaJuda zurückkehren, ein zählbares Häuflein. Und der ganze Überrest von JudaJuda, der in das Land Ägypten gekommen ist, um sich dort aufzuhalten, wird wissen9, welches WortWort sich bestätigen wird, das meine oder das ihre. 28 Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.8
29 Und dies sei euch das ZeichenZeichen, spricht der HERR, dass ich euch an diesem Ort heimsuchen werde, damit ihr wisst, dass meine WorteWorte über euch10 sich gewisslich bestätigen werden zum Unglück; 29 And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:
30 so spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich gebe den PharaoPharao HophraHophra, den König von Ägypten, in die Hand seiner Feinde und in die Hand derer, die nach seinem LebenLeben trachten, so wie ich ZedekiaZedekia, den König von JudaJuda, in die Hand NebukadrezarsNebukadrezars gegeben habe, des Königs von BabelBabel, seines Feindes, der11 ihm nach dem LebenLeben trachtete.30 Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.
