1 Und IsraelIsrael brach auf und alles, was er hatte, und kam nach BeersebaBeerseba; und er opferte SchlachtopferSchlachtopfer dem GottGott seines VatersVaters IsaakIsaak.1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.
2 Und GottGott sprach zu IsraelIsrael in den Gesichten der NachtNacht und sagte: JakobJakob! JakobJakob! Und er sprach: Hier bin ich. 2 And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.
3 Und er sprach: Ich bin GottGott1, der GottGott deines VatersVaters; fürchte dich nicht, nach Ägypten hinabzuziehen; denn zu einer großen Nation will ich dich dort machen.3 And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:
4 Ich will mit dir nach Ägypten hinabziehen, und ich will dich auch gewisslich heraufführen; und JosephJoseph soll seine Hand auf deine AugenAugen legen.4 I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.
5 Da machte sich JakobJakob von BeersebaBeerseba auf, und die Söhne IsraelsIsraels führten JakobJakob, ihren VaterVater, und ihre KinderKinder und ihre Frauen auf den WagenWagen, die der PharaoPharao gesandt hatte, ihn zu holen. 5 And Jacob rose up from Beersheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.
6 Und sie nahmen ihr ViehVieh und ihre Habe, die sie im Land KanaanKanaan erworben hatten, und kamen nach Ägypten, JakobJakob und all seine Nachkommenschaft mit ihm:6 And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:
7 Seine Söhne und die Söhne seiner Söhne mit ihm, seine Töchter und die Töchter seiner Söhne, und all seine Nachkommen brachte er mit sich nach Ägypten.7 His sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.
8 Und dies sind die NamenNamen der Söhne IsraelsIsraels, die nach Ägypten kamen: JakobJakob und seine Söhne; der Erstgeborene JakobsJakobs: RubenRuben.8 And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.
9 Und die Söhne RubensRubens: HanokHanok und PalluPallu und HezronHezron und KarmiKarmi.9 And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.
10 Und die Söhne SimeonsSimeons: JemuelJemuel und JaminJamin und OhadOhad und JakinJakin und ZocharZochar und SaulSaul, der SohnSohn der KanaaniterinKanaaniterin.10 And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.123
11 Und die Söhne LevisLevis: GersonGerson, KehatKehat und MerariMerari.11 And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.4
12 Und die Söhne JudasJudas: GherGher und OnanOnan und SchelaSchela und PerezPerez und SerachSerach; GherGher und OnanOnan aber starben im Land KanaanKanaan. Und die Söhne des PerezPerez waren HezronHezron und HamulHamul.12 And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.
13 Und die Söhne IssascharsIssaschars: TolaTola und PuwaPuwa und JobJob und SchimronSchimron.13 And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.5
14 Und die Söhne SebulonsSebulons: SeredSered und ElonElon und JachleelJachleel.14 And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.
15 Das sind die Söhne LeasLeas, die sie dem JakobJakob in Paddan-AramPaddan-Aram gebar, und DinaDina, seine TochterTochter. Aller Seelen seiner Söhne und seiner Töchter waren 33.15 These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padanaram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.
16 Und die Söhne GadsGads: ZiphjonZiphjon und HaggiHaggi, SchuniSchuni und EzbonEzbon, EriEri und ArodiArodi und AreliAreli.16 And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.678
17 Und die Söhne AsersAsers: JimnaJimna und JischwaJischwa und JischwiJischwi und BeriaBeria, und SerachSerach, ihre Schwester. Und die Söhne BeriasBerias: HeberHeber und MalkielMalkiel.17 And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.
18 Das sind die Söhne SilpasSilpas, die LabanLaban seiner TochterTochter LeaLea gab; und sie gebar diese dem JakobJakob, 16 Seelen. 18 These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.
19 Die Söhne RahelsRahels, der FrauFrau JakobsJakobs: JosephJoseph und BenjaminBenjamin.19 The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.
20 Und dem JosephJoseph wurden im Land Ägypten ManasseManasse und EphraimEphraim geboren, die AsnatAsnat ihm gebar, die TochterTochter PotipherasPotipheras, des PriestersPriesters von OnOn.20 And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him.9
21 Und die Söhne BenjaminsBenjamins: BelaBela und BekerBeker und AschbelAschbel, GeraGera und NaamanNaaman, EchiEchi und RoschRosch, MuppimMuppim und HuppimHuppim und ArdArd.21 And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.101112
22 Das sind die Söhne RahelsRahels, die dem JakobJakob geboren wurden; aller Seelen waren 14.22 These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.
23 Und die Söhne DansDans: HuschimHuschim.23 And the sons of Dan; Hushim.13
24 Und die Söhne NaphtalisNaphtalis: JachzeelJachzeel und GuniGuni und JezerJezer und SchillemSchillem.24 And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.
25 Das sind die Söhne BilhasBilhas, die LabanLaban seiner TochterTochter RahelRahel gab; und sie gebar diese dem JakobJakob; aller Seelen waren sieben.25 These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.
26 Aller dem JakobJakob angehörenden Seelen, die nach Ägypten kamen, die aus seinen LendenLenden hervorgegangen waren, ausgenommen die Frauen der Söhne JakobsJakobs, aller Seelen waren 66.26 All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;14
27 Und die Söhne JosephsJosephs, die ihm in Ägypten geboren wurden, waren zwei Seelen. Aller Seelen des Hauses JakobJakob, die nach Ägypten kamen, waren 702.27 And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.
28 Und er sandte JudaJuda vor sich hin zu JosephJoseph, um vor ihm her zu weisen nach GosenGosen3; und sie kamen in das Land GosenGosen.28 And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.
29 Da spannte JosephJoseph seinen WagenWagen an und zog hinauf, seinem VaterVater IsraelIsrael entgegen nach GosenGosen; und als er seiner ansichtig wurde, fiel er ihm um den Hals und weinte lange4 an seinem Hals. 29 And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.
30 Und IsraelIsrael sprach zu JosephJoseph: Nun kann ich sterben, nachdem ich dein Angesicht gesehen habe, dass du noch lebst!30 And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.
31 Und JosephJoseph sprach zu seinen BrüdernBrüdern und zum HausHaus seines VatersVaters: Ich will hinaufziehen und dem PharaoPharao berichten und zu ihm sagen: Meine BrüderBrüder und das HausHaus meines VatersVaters, die im Land KanaanKanaan waren, sind zu mir gekommen.31 And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;
32 Und die Männer sind Schafhirten5, denn sie haben Viehzucht getrieben; und sie haben ihr Kleinvieh und ihre RinderRinder und alles, was sie haben, mitgebracht.32 And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.15
33 Und geschieht es, dass der PharaoPharao euch ruft und spricht: Was ist eure Hantierung? 33 And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?
34 so sagt: Deine KnechteKnechte haben Viehzucht getrieben, von Jugend auf bis jetzt, sowohl wir als auch unsere VäterVäter, damit ihr wohnen mögt im Land GosenGosen; denn alle Schafhirten sind den Ägyptern ein GräuelGräuel.34 That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
