1 Und AbramAbram war 99 JahreJahre alt, da erschien der HERR dem AbramAbram und sprach zu ihm: Ich bin Gott1, der AllmächtigeAllmächtige; wandle vor meinem Angesicht und sei vollkommen2.1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.1
2 Und ich will meinen BundBund setzen zwischen mir und dir und will dich sehr, sehr vermehren.2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 Da fiel AbramAbram auf sein Angesicht, und GottGott redete mit ihm und sprach:3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 Ich, siehe, mein BundBund ist mit dir, und du wirst zum VaterVater einer Menge NationenNationen werden.4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.2
5 Und von nun an soll dein Name nicht mehr Abram3 heißen, sondern Abraham4 soll dein Name sein; denn zum VaterVater einer Menge NationenNationen habe ich dich gemacht. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.3
6 Und ich werde dich sehr, sehr fruchtbar machen, und ich werde dich zu NationenNationen machen, und KönigeKönige sollen aus dir hervorkommen.6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 Und ich werde meinen BundBund errichten zwischen mir und dir und deinen Nachkommen nach dir, nach ihren Geschlechtern5, zu einem ewigen BundBund, um dir zum GottGott zu sein und deinen Nachkommen nach dir. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8 Und ich werde dir und deinen Nachkommen nach dir das Land deiner Fremdlingschaft geben, das ganze Land KanaanKanaan, zum ewigen Besitztum, und ich werde ihr6 GottGott sein.8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.4
9 Und GottGott sprach zu AbrahamAbraham: Und du, du sollst meinen BundBund halten, du und dein Nachkommenen nach dir, nach ihren GeschlechternGeschlechtern. 9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10 Dies ist mein BundBund, den ihr halten sollt zwischen mir und euch und deinen Nachkommen nach dir: Alles Männliche werde bei euch beschnitten.10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 Und ihr sollt das FleischFleisch eurer Vorhaut beschneiden. Und das soll das ZeichenZeichen des BundesBundes sein zwischen mir und euch.11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12 Und acht TageTage alt, soll alles Männliche bei euch beschnitten werden nach euren GeschlechternGeschlechtern, der Hausgeborene und der für GeldGeld Erkaufte, von allen Fremden, die nicht von deinen Nachkommen sind; 12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.5
13 es soll gewisslich beschnitten werden dein Hausgeborener und der für dein GeldGeld Erkaufte. Und mein BundBund soll an eurem FleischFleisch sein als ein ewiger BundBund. 13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 Und der unbeschnittene Männliche, der am FleischFleisch seiner Vorhaut nicht beschnitten wird, diese SeeleSeele soll ausgerottet werden aus ihrem Volk7. Meinen BundBund hat er gebrochen!14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
15 Und GottGott sprach zu AbrahamAbraham: SaraiSarai, deine FrauFrau, sollst du nicht SaraiSarai nennen, sondern Sara8 soll ihr Name sein.15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.6
16 Und ich werde sie segnen, und auch von ihr gebe ich dir einen SohnSohn; und ich werde sie segnen, und sie wird zu NationenNationen werden; KönigeKönige von Völkern sollen aus ihr kommen.16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.7
17 Und AbrahamAbraham fiel auf sein Angesicht und lachte und sprach in seinem Herzen: Sollte einem Hundertjährigen geboren werden, und sollte SaraSara, sollte eine Neunzigjährige gebären?17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
18 Und AbrahamAbraham sprach zu GottGott: Möchte doch IsmaelIsmael vor dir leben! 18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
19 Und GottGott sprach: Doch! SaraSara, deine FrauFrau, wird dir einen SohnSohn gebären, und du sollst ihm den NamenNamen Isaak9 geben; und ich werde meinen BundBund mit ihm errichten zu einem ewigen BundBund für seine Nachkommen nach ihm.19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20 Und um IsmaelIsmael habe ich dich erhört: Siehe, ich habe ihn gesegnet und werde ihn fruchtbar machen und ihn sehr, sehr vermehren; zwölf Fürsten wird er zeugenzeugen, und ich werde ihn zu einer großen Nation machen.20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21 Aber meinen BundBund werde ich mit IsaakIsaak errichten, den SaraSara dir gebären wird um diese bestimmte ZeitZeit im folgenden JahrJahr. –21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
22 Und er hörte auf, mit ihm zu reden; und GottGott fuhr auf von AbrahamAbraham.22 And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.
23 Und AbrahamAbraham nahm IsmaelIsmael, seinen SohnSohn, und alle seine Hausgeborenen und alle mit seinem GeldGeld Erkauften, alles Männliche unter den Hausleuten AbrahamsAbrahams, und beschnitt das FleischFleisch ihrer Vorhaut an genau diesem TagTag, wie GottGott zu ihm geredet hatte. 23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.
24 Und AbrahamAbraham war 99 JahreJahre alt, als er am FleischFleisch seiner Vorhaut beschnitten wurde.24 And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
25 Und IsmaelIsmael, sein SohnSohn, war 13 JahreJahre alt, als er am FleischFleisch seiner Vorhaut beschnitten wurde.25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
26 An genau diesem TagTag wurde AbrahamAbraham beschnitten und IsmaelIsmael, sein SohnSohn; 26 In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son.
27 und alle Männer seines Hauses, der Hausgeborene und der für GeldGeld Erkaufte, von den Fremden, wurden mit ihm beschnitten.27 And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
