1 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln aus wie die ersten, und ich werde auf die Tafeln die WorteWorte schreiben, die auf den ersten Tafeln waren, die du zerbrochen hast.1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
2 Und sei bereit auf den MorgenMorgen, und steige am MorgenMorgen auf den BergBerg SinaiSinai und steh dort vor mir auf dem Gipfel des BergesBerges.2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.
3 Und niemand soll mit dir heraufsteigen, und es soll selbst niemand auf dem ganzen BergBerg gesehen werden; sogar Kleinvieh und RinderRinder sollen nicht gegen diesen BergBerg hin weiden. 3 And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.
4 Und er hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln aus wie die ersten; und MoseMose stand frühmorgens auf und stieg auf den BergBerg SinaiSinai, so wie der HERR ihm geboten hatte, und nahm die zwei steinernen Tafeln in seine Hand.4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.
5 Und der HERR stieg in der WolkeWolke herab, und er stand dort bei ihm und rief den NamenNamen des HERRN aus.5 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
6 Und der HERR ging vor seinem Angesicht vorüber und rief: HERR, HERR, Gott1, barmherzig und gnädig, langsam zum ZornZorn und groß an Güte und WahrheitWahrheit,6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
7 der Güte bewahrt auf Tausende hin2, der Ungerechtigkeit, Übertretung und SündeSünde vergibt, – aber keineswegs hält er für schuldlos3 den Schuldigen, – der die Ungerechtigkeit der VäterVäter heimsucht an den KindernKindern und Enkeln, am dritten und am vierten Glied. 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
8 Und MoseMose neigte sich eilends zur ErdeErde und betetebetete an8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
9 und sprach: Wenn ich doch GnadeGnade gefunden habe in deinen AugenAugen, HerrHerr, so ziehe doch der HerrHerr in unserer Mitte – denn es ist ein hartnäckiges Volk – und vergibvergib unsere Ungerechtigkeit und unsere SündeSünde, und nimm uns an zum Eigentum4. 9 And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.
10 Und er sprach: Siehe, ich mach einen BundBund: Vor deinem ganzen Volk will ich WunderWunder tun, die nicht gewirkt5 worden sind auf der ganzen ErdeErde und unter allen NationenNationen; und das ganze Volk, in dessen Mitte du bist, soll das Werk des HERRN sehen; denn6 furchtbar ist, was ich mit dir tun werde. 10 And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.
11 Beobachte, was ich dir heute gebiete. Siehe, ich will vor dir vertreiben die AmoriterAmoriter und die KanaaniterKanaaniter und die HethiterHethiter und die PerisiterPerisiter und die HewiterHewiter und die JebusiterJebusiter. 11 Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
12 Hüte dich, dass du nicht einen BundBund machst mit den Bewohnern des Landes, wohin du kommen wirst, dass sie nicht zum FallstrickFallstrick werden in deiner Mitte; 12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
13 sondern ihre Altäre sollt ihr niederreißen und ihre Bildsäulen zerbrechen und ihre Ascherim7 ausrotten, –13 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:1
14 denn du sollst nicht einen anderen GottGott8 anbeten; denn der HERR, dessen Name EifererEiferer ist, ist ein eifernder GottGott; –14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
15 dass du nicht einen BundBund machst mit den Bewohnern des Landes und, wenn sie ihren GötternGöttern nachhuren und ihren GötternGöttern opfern, man dich einlade, und du von ihrem SchlachtopferSchlachtopfer essest, 15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
16 und du von ihren Töchtern für deine Söhne nehmest, und ihre Töchter ihren GötternGöttern nachhuren und machen, dass deine Söhne ihren GötternGöttern nachhuren.16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
17 Gegossene GötterGötter sollst du dir nicht machen.17 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
18 Das Fest der ungesäuerten BroteBrote sollst du beobachten; sieben TageTage sollst du Ungesäuertes essen, wie ich dir geboten habe, zur bestimmten ZeitZeit des Monats AbibAbib; denn im Monat AbibAbib bist du aus Ägypten ausgezogen. 18 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
19 Alles, was die MutterMutter bricht, ist mein; und all dein ViehVieh, das männlich geboren wird, das Erstgeborene vom Rind- und Kleinvieh. 19 All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.2
20 Und das Erstgeborene vom EselEsel sollst du lösen mit einem Lamm9; und wenn du es nicht löst, so brich ihm das Genick. Jeden Erstgeborenen deiner Söhne sollst du lösen. Und man soll nicht leer erscheinen vor meinem Angesicht.20 But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.3
21 Sechs TageTage sollst du arbeiten, aber am siebten TagTag sollst du ruhen; in der Pflügezeit und in der ErnteErnte sollst du ruhen.21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.
22 Und das Fest der WochenWochen, der ErstlingeErstlinge der Weizenernte, sollst du feiern; und das Fest der Einsammlung beim Umlauf des JahresJahres. 22 And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.4
23 Dreimal im JahrJahr sollen alle deine Männlichen erscheinen vor dem Angesicht des HerrnHerrn, HERRNHERRN, des GottesGottes IsraelsIsraels.23 Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.
24 Denn ich werde die NationenNationen vor dir austreiben und deine Grenze erweitern; und niemand wird deines Landes begehren, wenn du hinaufziehst, um vor dem Angesicht des HERRN, deines GottesGottes, zu erscheinen, dreimal im JahrJahr. 24 For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.
25 Du sollst nicht das BlutBlut meines SchlachtopfersSchlachtopfers zu Gesäuertem opfern; und das SchlachtopferSchlachtopfer des Passahfestes soll nicht über NachtNacht bleiben bis an den MorgenMorgen.25 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.
26 Das Erste der ErstlingeErstlinge deines Landes sollst du in das HausHaus des HERRN, deines GottesGottes, bringen. – Du sollst ein Böckchen nicht kochen in der MilchMilch seiner MutterMutter.26 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.
27 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose: Schreibe dir diese WorteWorte auf; denn nach dem Inhalt dieser WorteWorte habe ich mit dir und mit IsraelIsrael einen BundBund gemacht. 27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.
28 Und er war dort bei dem HERRN 40 TageTage und 40 Nächte; er aß kein BrotBrot und trank kein Wasser. Und erERR">10 schrieb auf die Tafeln die WorteWorte des BundesBundes, die zehn WorteWorte.28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.5
29 Und es geschah, als MoseMose von dem BergBerg SinaiSinai herabstieg, – und die zwei Tafeln des Zeugnisses waren in der Hand MosesMoses, als er von dem BergBerg herabstieg, – da wusste MoseMose nicht, dass die Haut seines Angesichts strahlte, weil er mit ihm geredet hatte11. 29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
30 Und AaronAaron und alle KinderKinder IsraelIsrael sahen MoseMose an, und siehe, die Haut seines Angesichts strahlte; und sie fürchteten sich, ihm zu nahen. 30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
31 Und MoseMose rief ihnen zu, und sie wandten sich zu ihm, AaronAaron und alle Fürsten in der GemeindeGemeinde; und MoseMose redete zu ihnen. 31 And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
32 Und danach nahten sich alle KinderKinder IsraelIsrael; und er gebot ihnen alles, was der HERR auf dem BergBerg SinaiSinai zu ihm geredet hatte. 32 And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.
33 Und MoseMose hörte auf, mit ihnen zu reden. Und er hatte eine DeckeDecke auf sein Angesicht gelegt.33 And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.
34 Und wenn MoseMose vor dem HERRN hineinging, um mit ihm zu reden, tat er die DeckeDecke ab, bis er hinausging; und er ging hinaus und redete zu den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael, was ihm geboten war; 34 But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.
35 und die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael sahen das Angesicht MosesMoses, dass die Haut des Angesichts MosesMoses strahlte; und MoseMose tat die DeckeDecke wieder auf sein Angesicht, bis er hineinging, um mit ihm zu reden.35 And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.
