1 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose: Geh zu dem PharaoPharao hinein und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR, der GottGott der HebräerHebräer: Lass mein Volk ziehen, dass sie mir dienen! 1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 Denn wenn du dich weigerst, sie ziehen zu lassen, und du sie noch festhältst, 2 For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3 siehe, so wird die Hand des HERRN über dein ViehVieh kommen, das auf dem Feld ist: über die PferdePferde, über die EselEsel, über die KameleKamele, über die RinderRinder und über das Kleinvieh, eine sehr schwere PestPest.3 Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
4 Und der HERR wird einen Unterschied machen zwischen dem ViehVieh IsraelsIsraels und dem ViehVieh der Ägypter, und von allem, was den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael gehört, wird nichts sterben.4 And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.
5 Und der HERR bestimmte eine ZeitZeit und sprach: MorgenMorgen wird der HERR dieses tun im Land.5 And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.
6 Und der HERR tat dieses am anderen TagTag, und alles ViehVieh der Ägypter starb, aber von dem ViehVieh der KinderKinder IsraelIsrael starb nicht eines. 6 And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
7 Und der PharaoPharao sandte hin, und siehe, von dem ViehVieh IsraelsIsraels war auch nicht eines gestorben. Aber das HerzHerz des PharaosPharaos verstockte sich, und er ließ das Volk nicht ziehen. 7 And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
8 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose und zu AaronAaron: Nehmt eure Fäuste voll Ofenruß1, und MoseMose streue ihn zum HimmelHimmel vor den AugenAugen des PharaosPharaos;8 And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9 und er wird zu StaubStaub werden über dem ganzen Land Ägypten und wird an Menschen und ViehVieh zu Geschwüren2 werden, die in BlatternBlattern ausbrechen, im ganzen Land Ägypten.9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10 Und sie nahmen den Ofenruß und stellten sich vor den PharaoPharao, und MoseMose streute ihn zum HimmelHimmel; und er wurde zu Blatter-Geschwüren, die an Menschen und ViehVieh ausbrachen.10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.
11 Und die Schriftgelehrten vermochten nicht vor MoseMose zu stehen wegen der GeschwüreGeschwüre; denn die GeschwüreGeschwüre waren an den Schriftgelehrten und an allen Ägyptern. 11 And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
12 Und der HERR verhärtete das HerzHerz des PharaosPharaos, und er hörte nicht auf sie, so wie der HERR zu MoseMose geredet hatte.12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
13 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose: Mach dich frühmorgens auf und tritt vor den PharaoPharao und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR, der GottGott der HebräerHebräer: Lass mein Volk ziehen, dass sie mir dienen!13 And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14 Denn dieses Mal will ich alle meine Plagen in dein HerzHerz senden und über deine KnechteKnechte und über dein Volk, damit du weißt, dass niemand ist wie ich auf der ganzen ErdeErde.14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15 Denn jetzt hätte ich meine Hand ausgestreckt und hätte dich und dein Volk mit der PestPest geschlagen, und du wärest vertilgt worden von der ErdeErde;15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
16 aber gerade deswegen habe ich dich bestehen lassen, um dir meine KraftKraft zu zeigen und damit man meinen NamenNamen verkündige auf der ganzen ErdeErde. 16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.1
17 Erhebst du dich noch gegen mein Volk, dass du sie nicht ziehen lässt, 17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18 siehe, so will ich morgen um diese ZeitZeit einen sehr schweren HagelHagel regnen lassen, desgleichen nicht in Ägypten gewesen ist, von dem TagTag seiner Gründung an bis jetzt. 18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
19 Und nun sende hin und bring dein ViehVieh in Sicherheit und alles, was du auf dem Feld hast. Alle Menschen und alles ViehVieh, die auf dem Feld gefunden und nicht ins HausHaus aufgenommen werden, auf die fällt der HagelHagel herab, und sie werden sterben. –19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20 Wer unter den Knechten des PharaosPharaos das WortWort des HERRN fürchtete, der flüchtete seine KnechteKnechte und sein ViehVieh in die Häuser. 20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:
21 Wer aber das WortWort des HERRN nicht zu Herzen nahm, der ließ seine KnechteKnechte und sein ViehVieh auf dem Feld.21 And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.2
22 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose: Strecke deine Hand aus zum HimmelHimmel, dass im ganzen Land Ägypten HagelHagel komme auf die Menschen und auf das ViehVieh und auf alles Kraut des Feldes im Land Ägypten.22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23 Und MoseMose streckte seinen Stab aus zum HimmelHimmel, und der HERR sandte Donner3 und HagelHagel, und FeuerFeuer fuhr zur ErdeErde. Und der HERR ließ HagelHagel auf das Land Ägypten regnen.23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24 Und es kam HagelHagel, und FeuerFeuer, mitten im HagelHagel sich ineinander schlingend4, sehr schwer, desgleichen im ganzen Land Ägypten nicht gewesen war, seitdem es eine Nation geworden ist. 24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25 Und der HagelHagel schlug im ganzen Land Ägypten alles, was auf dem Feld war, vom Menschen bis zum ViehVieh; und alles Kraut des Feldes schlug der HagelHagel, und alle Bäume des Feldes zerbrach er.25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26 Nur im Land GosenGosen, wo die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael waren, war kein HagelHagel.26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27 Und der PharaoPharao sandte hin und ließ MoseMose und AaronAaron rufen und sprach zu ihnen: Ich habe dieses Mal gesündigt. Der HERR ist der Gerechte, ich aber und mein Volk sind die Schuldigen.27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28 Fleht zu dem HERRN, und es sei genug des DonnersDonners GottesGottes und des HagelsHagels; so will ich euch ziehen lassen, und ihr sollt nicht länger bleiben.28 Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.3
29 Da sprach MoseMose zu ihm: Sowie ich zur Stadt hinausgehe, will ich meine Hände zu dem HERRN ausbreiten; der DonnerDonner wird aufhören, und der HagelHagel wird nicht mehr sein, damit du weißt, dass die ErdeErde dem HERRN gehört.29 And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD'S.
30 Du aber und deine KnechteKnechte, ich weiß, dass ihr euch noch nicht vor dem HERRN GottGott fürchten werdet.30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
31 Und der FlachsFlachs und die GersteGerste wurden geschlagen; denn die GersteGerste war in der Ähre, und der FlachsFlachs hatte Knospen.31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
32 Aber der WeizenWeizen und der SpeltSpelt wurden nicht geschlagen, weil sie spätzeitig sind. 32 But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.4
33 Und MoseMose ging von dem PharaoPharao zur Stadt hinaus und breitete seine Hände aus zu dem HERRN; und der DonnerDonner und der HagelHagel hörten auf, und der RegenRegen ergoss sich nicht mehr auf die ErdeErde. 33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34 Und als der PharaoPharao sah, dass der RegenRegen und der HagelHagel und der DonnerDonner aufgehört hatten, da fuhr er fort zu sündigen und verstockte sein HerzHerz, er und seine KnechteKnechte.34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35 Und das HerzHerz des PharaosPharaos verhärtete sich, und er ließ die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael nicht ziehen, so wie der HERR durch MoseMose geredet hatte.35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.5
