1 Und der HERR redete zu MoseMose: Geh, zieh von hier hinauf, du und das Volk, das du aus dem Land Ägypten heraufgeführt hast, in das Land, das ich AbrahamAbraham, IsaakIsaak und JakobJakob zugeschworen habe, indem ich sprach: Deinen Nachkommen werde ich es geben! –1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
2 und ich werde einen EngelEngel vor dir hersenden und vertreiben die KanaaniterKanaaniter, die AmoriterAmoriter und die HethiterHethiter und die PerisiterPerisiter, die HewiterHewiter und die JebusiterJebusiter, – 2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
3 in ein Land, das von MilchMilch und HonigHonig fließt; denn ich werde nicht in deiner Mitte hinaufziehen, denn du bist ein hartnäckiges Volk, dass ich dich nicht vernichte auf dem Weg.3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
4 Und als das Volk dieses böse WortWort hörte, da trauerten sie, und keiner legte seinen SchmuckSchmuck an.4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
5 Denn der HERR hatte zu MoseMose gesagt: Sprich zu den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael: Ihr seid ein hartnäckiges Volk; zöge ich nur einen Augenblick in deiner Mitte hinauf, so würde ich dich vernichten. Und nun, lege deinen SchmuckSchmuck von dir, und ich werde wissen, was ich dir tun will.5 For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
6 Und die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael rissen sich ihren SchmuckSchmuck ab an dem BergBerg HorebHoreb1. 6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.
7 Und MoseMose nahm das ZeltZelt und schlug es sich auf außerhalb des LagersLagers, fern vom LagerLager, und nannte es: ZeltZelt der Zusammenkunft. Und es geschah, jeder, der den HERRN suchte, ging hinaus zu dem ZeltZelt der Zusammenkunft, das außerhalb des LagersLagers war. 7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
8 Und es geschah, wenn MoseMose zu dem ZeltZelt hinausging, so erhob sich das ganze Volk, und sie standen, jeder am Eingang seines ZeltesZeltes; und sie schauten MoseMose nach, bis er in das ZeltZelt trat. 8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
9 Und es geschah, wenn MoseMose in das ZeltZelt trat, so stieg die Wolkensäule herab und stand am Eingang des ZeltesZeltes; und der HERR2 redete mit MoseMose.9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.
10 Und das ganze Volk sah die Wolkensäule am Eingang des ZeltesZeltes stehen; und das ganze Volk erhob sich, und sie warfen sich nieder, jeder am Eingang seines ZeltesZeltes.10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
11 Und der HERR redete mit MoseMose von Angesicht zu Angesicht, wie ein MannMann mit seinem Freund redet; und er kehrte zum LagerLager zurück. Sein DienerDiener aber, JosuaJosua, der SohnSohn Nuns, ein Jüngling, wich nicht aus dem Innern des ZeltesZeltes.11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
12 Und MoseMose sprach zu dem HERRN: Siehe, du sprichst zu mir: Führe dieses Volk hinauf, aber du hast mich nicht wissen lassen, wen du mit mir senden willst. Und du hast doch gesagt: Ich kenne dich mit NamenNamen, und du hast auch GnadeGnade gefunden in meinen AugenAugen.12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Und nun, wenn ich denn GnadeGnade gefunden habe in deinen AugenAugen, so lass mich doch deinen Weg3 wissen, dass ich dich erkenne, damit ich GnadeGnade finde in deinen AugenAugen; und sieh, dass diese Nation dein Volk ist!13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 Und er sprach: Mein Angesicht wird mitgehen, und ich werde dir RuheRuhe geben.14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
15 Und er sprach zu ihm: Wenn dein Angesicht nicht mitgeht, so führe uns nicht von hier hinauf.15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
16 Und woran soll es denn erkannt werden, dass ich GnadeGnade gefunden habe in deinen AugenAugen, ich und dein Volk? Nicht daran, dass du mit uns gehst, und wir ausgesondert werden, ich und dein Volk, aus jedem Volk, das auf dem Erdboden ist?16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
17 Und der HERR sprach zu MoseMose: Auch dieses, was du gesagt hast, werde ich tun; denn du hast GnadeGnade gefunden in meinen AugenAugen, und ich kenne dich mit NamenNamen.17 And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18 Und er sprach: Lass mich doch deine HerrlichkeitHerrlichkeit sehen!18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19 Und der HERR4 sprach: Ich werde alle meine Güte vor deinem Angesicht vorübergehen lassen, und werde den NamenNamen des HERRN vor dir ausrufen; und ich werde begnadigen, wen ich begnadigen werde, und werde mich erbarmen, wessen ich mich erbarmen werde.19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
20 Und er sprach: Du vermagst nicht mein Angesicht zu sehen, denn nicht kann ein MenschMensch mich sehen und leben.20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 Und der HERR sprach: Siehe, es ist ein Ort bei mir, da sollst du auf dem Felsen stehen.21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 Und es wird geschehen, wenn meine HerrlichkeitHerrlichkeit vorübergeht, so werde ich dich in die Felsenkluft stellen und meine Hand über dich decken, bis ich vorübergegangen bin.22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 Und ich werde meine Hand wegtun, und du wirst mich von hinten sehen; aber mein Angesicht soll nicht gesehen werden.23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
