1 Und KorahKorah, der SohnSohn JizharsJizhars, des SohnesSohnes KehatsKehats, des SohnesSohnes LevisLevis, unternahm es, und mit ihm DathanDathan und AbiramAbiram, die Söhne EliabsEliabs, und OnOn, der SohnSohn PeletsPelets, die Söhne RubensRubens,1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:
2 und sie standen auf gegen MoseMose, mit 250 Männern von den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael, Fürsten der GemeindeGemeinde, Berufenen1 der VersammlungVersammlung, Männern von NamenNamen.2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:
3 Und sie versammelten sich gegen MoseMose und gegen AaronAaron und sprachen zu ihnen: Lasst es genug sein! Denn die ganze GemeindeGemeinde, sie allesamt sind heilig, und der HERR ist in ihrer Mitte! Und warum erhebt ihr euch über die VersammlungVersammlung des HERRN? 3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?1
4 Als MoseMose es hörte, fiel er auf sein Angesicht.4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face:
5 Und er redete zu KorahKorah und zu seiner ganzen RotteRotte und sprach: MorgenMorgen, da wird der HERR zeigen, wer sein ist und wer heilig2 ist, dass er ihn zu sich nahen lasse; und wen er erwählt, den wird er zu sich nahen lassen. 5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.
6 Dieses tut: Nehmt euch Räucherpfannen, KorahKorah und seine ganze RotteRotte,6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;
7 und morgen tut FeuerFeuer hinein und legt RäucherwerkRäucherwerk darauf vor dem HERRN; und es soll geschehen, der MannMann, den der HERR erwählen wird, der sei der HeiligeHeilige. Lasst es genug sein, ihr Söhne LevisLevis!7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
8 Und MoseMose sprach zu KorahKorah: Hört doch, ihr Söhne LevisLevis!8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:
9 Ist es euch zu wenig, dass der GottGott IsraelsIsraels euch aus der GemeindeGemeinde IsraelIsrael ausgesondert hat, um euch zu sich nahen zu lassen, damit ihr den Dienst der Wohnung des HERRN verrichtet und vor der GemeindeGemeinde steht, um sie zu bedienen,9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
10 dass er dich und alle deine BrüderBrüder, die Söhne LevisLevis, mit dir hat herzunahen lassen? Und ihr trachtet auch nach dem PriestertumPriestertum!10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?
11 Darum rottet ihr euch zusammen, du und deine ganze RotteRotte, gegen den HERRN; denn AaronAaron, was ist er, dass ihr gegen ihn murrt?11 For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?
12 Und MoseMose sandte hin, um DathanDathan und AbiramAbiram, die Söhne EliabsEliabs, zu rufen. Aber sie sprachen: Wir kommen nicht hinauf!12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:
13 Ist es zu wenig, dass du uns aus einem Land, das von MilchMilch und HonigHonig fließt, heraufgeführt hast, um uns in der WüsteWüste sterben zu lassen, dass du dich auch gar zum Herrscher über uns aufwirfst?13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?
14 Du hast uns keineswegs in ein Land gebracht, das von MilchMilch und HonigHonig fließt, noch uns Äcker und WeinbergeWeinberge als ErbteilErbteil gegeben! Willst du diesen Leuten die AugenAugen ausstechen? Wir kommen nicht hinauf! 14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.2
15 Da ergrimmte MoseMose sehr und sprach zu dem HERRN: Wende dich nicht zu ihrer OpfergabeOpfergabe! Nicht einen EselEsel habe ich von ihnen genommen und keinem einzigen unter ihnen ein LeidLeid getan.15 And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.
16 Und MoseMose sprach zu KorahKorah: Du und deine ganze RotteRotte, ihr sollt morgen vor dem HERRN erscheinen3, du und sie und AaronAaron.16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
17 Und nehmt jeder seine RäucherpfanneRäucherpfanne und legt RäucherwerkRäucherwerk darauf, und bringt jeder seine RäucherpfanneRäucherpfanne dar vor dem HERRN, 250 Räucherpfannen; und du und AaronAaron, jeder seine RäucherpfanneRäucherpfanne.17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.
18 Und sie nahmen jeder seine RäucherpfanneRäucherpfanne und taten FeuerFeuer darauf und legten RäucherwerkRäucherwerk darauf; und sie traten hin an den Eingang des ZeltesZeltes der Zusammenkunft, auch MoseMose und AaronAaron.18 And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.
19 Und KorahKorah versammelte gegen sie die ganze GemeindeGemeinde an den Eingang des ZeltesZeltes der Zusammenkunft.Da erschien die HerrlichkeitHerrlichkeit des HERRN vor der ganzen GemeindeGemeinde.19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.
20 Und der HERR redete zu MoseMose und zu AaronAaron und sprach:20 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
21 Sondert euch ab aus der Mitte dieser GemeindeGemeinde, und ich will sie vernichten in einem Augenblick!21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.
22 Und sie fielen auf ihr Angesicht und sprachen: GottGott4, du GottGott der GeisterGeister alles FleischesFleisches! Der eine MannMann sündigt, und du solltest über die ganze GemeindeGemeinde zürnen?22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?
23 Und der HERR redete zu MoseMose und sprach:23 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Rede zu der GemeindeGemeinde und sprich: Hebt euch ringsum weg von der Wohnung KorahsKorahs, DathansDathans und AbiramsAbirams. 24 Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
25 Da stand MoseMose auf und ging zu DathanDathan und AbiramAbiram, und ihm nach gingen die Ältesten IsraelsIsraels.25 And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.
26 Und er redete zu der GemeindeGemeinde und sprach: Weicht doch von den Zelten dieser gottlosen Männer und rührt nichts an, was ihnen gehört, dass ihr nicht weggerafft werdet in allen ihren Sünden!26 And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
27 Und sie hoben sich ringsum weg von der Wohnung KorahsKorahs, DathansDathans und AbiramsAbirams. Und DathanDathan und AbiramAbiram traten heraus und standen am Eingang ihrer ZelteZelte mit ihren Frauen und ihren Söhnen und ihren kleinen KindernKindern.27 So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
28 Und MoseMose sprach: Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass der HERR mich gesandt hat, alle diese Taten zu tun, dass ich nicht aus meinem Herzen gehandelt habe:28 And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.
29 Wenn diese sterben, wie alle Menschen sterben, und mit der Heimsuchung aller Menschen heimgesucht werden, so hat der HERR mich nicht gesandt;29 If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.3
30 wenn aber der HERR ein Neues5 schafft und der Erdboden seinen Mund auftut und sie verschlingt mit allem, was ihnen angehört, und sie lebendig in den ScheolScheol hinabfahren, so werdet ihr erkennen, dass diese Männer den HERRN verachtet haben.30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.4
31 Und es geschah, als er alle diese WorteWorte ausgeredet hatte, da spaltete sich der Erdboden, der unter ihnen war,31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:
32 und die ErdeErde tat ihren Mund auf und verschlang sie und ihre Familien6 und alle Menschen, die KorahKorah angehörten, und die ganze Habe. 32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.
33 Und sie fuhren, sie und alles, was ihnen angehörte, lebendig in den ScheolScheol hinab; und die ErdeErde bedeckte sie, und sie wurden mitten aus der VersammlungVersammlung vertilgt.33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.
34 Und ganz IsraelIsrael, das rings um sie her war, floh bei ihrem Geschrei; denn sie sprachen: Dass die ErdeErde uns nicht verschlinge!34 And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.
35 Und FeuerFeuer ging aus von dem HERRN und fraß die 250 Männer, die das RäucherwerkRäucherwerk dargebracht hatten.35 And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.
