1 Und dies ist der Segen, womit MoseMose, der MannMann GottesGottes, die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael vor seinem TodTod gesegnet hat.1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death.
2 Und er sprach:Der HERR ist vom SinaiSinai hergekommen und ist ihnen aufgegangen von SeirSeir; er ist hervorgestrahlt von dem BergBerg ParanParan und ist gekommen von heiligen Myriaden. Aus seiner Rechten ging Gesetzesfeuer für sie hervor. 2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.1
3 Ja, er liebt die Völker1; alle seine Heiligen sind in deiner Hand; und sie lagern2 zu deinen Füßen, jeder3 empfängt4 von deinen Worten.3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.
4 Ein GesetzGesetz hat uns MoseMose geboten, ein ErbeErbe der VersammlungVersammlung JakobsJakobs.4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
5 Und er wurde König in JeschurunJeschurun, als sich versammelten die Häupter des Volkes, die StämmeStämme IsraelsIsraels allzumal. – 5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.
6 RubenRuben lebe und sterbe nicht, und seiner Männer sei eine Zahl!6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
7 Und dieses von JudaJuda; und er sprach: Höre, HERR, die Stimme JudasJudas und bring ihn zu seinem Volk; seine Hände seien mächtig für ihn5, und hilf ihm von seinen Bedrängern! 7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies.
8 Und von LeviLevi sprach er: Deine ThummimThummim und deine UrimUrim sind für deinen Frommen6, den du versucht hast bei MassaMassa, mit dem du hadertest bei dem Wasser von MeribaMeriba;8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah;
9 der von seinem VaterVater und von seiner MutterMutter sprach: Ich sehe ihn nicht; und der seine BrüderBrüder nicht kannte und von seinen Söhnen nichts wusste7. Denn sie haben dein WortWort beobachtet, und deinen BundBund bewahrten sie. 9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.
10 Sie werden JakobJakob lehren deine Rechte, und IsraelIsrael dein GesetzGesetz; sie werden WeihrauchWeihrauch legen vor deine Nase und Ganzopfer auf deinen AltarAltar.10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.234
11 Segne, HERR, sein Vermögen8, und das Werk seiner Hände lass dir wohlgefallen; zerschmettere die LendenLenden derer, die sich gegen ihn erheben, und seiner Hasser, dass sie nicht mehr aufstehen!11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
12 Von BenjaminBenjamin sprach er: Der Liebling des HERRN! In Sicherheit wird er bei ihm wohnen; er beschirmt ihn den ganzen TagTag, und zwischen seinen SchulternSchultern wohnt er.12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
13 Und von JosephJoseph sprach er: Gesegnet von dem HERRN sei sein Land – vom Köstlichsten des HimmelsHimmels, vom TauTau, und von der Tiefe, die unten lagert,13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,
14 und vom Köstlichsten der Erträge der SonneSonne und vom Köstlichsten der Triebe der MondeMonde9,14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,56
15 und vom Vorzüglichsten der BergeBerge der Urzeit und vom Köstlichsten der ewigen Hügel,15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
16 und vom Köstlichsten der ErdeErde und ihrer Fülle; – und das Wohlgefallen dessen, der im DornbuschDornbusch wohnte: Es komme auf das HauptHaupt JosephsJosephs und auf den ScheitelScheitel des Abgesonderten unter seinen Brüdern10!16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17 Sein ist die Majestät des Erstgeborenen seines StieresStieres; und HörnerHörner des Wildochsen sind seine HörnerHörner. Mit ihnen wird er die Völker niederstoßen allzumal bis an die Enden der ErdeErde. Und das sind die Zehntausende EphraimsEphraims, und das die Tausende ManassesManasses. 17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.7
18 Und von SebulonSebulon sprach er: Freue dich, SebulonSebulon, deines AuszugsAuszugs, und du, IssascharIssaschar, deiner ZelteZelte! 18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
19 Sie werden Völker zum BergBerg laden; dort werden sie OpferOpfer der GerechtigkeitGerechtigkeit opfern; denn sie werden saugen die Fülle der MeereMeere und die verborgenen Schätze des Sandes11.19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
20 Und von GadGad sprach er: Gesegnet sei, der GadGad Raum schafft! Wie eine Löwin lagert er und zerreißt ArmArm und ScheitelScheitel.20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
21 Und er hat sich das Erste des Landes ausgewählt, denn dort war der Anteil des GesetzgebersGesetzgebers aufbewahrt12; und er ist an der Spitze13 des Volkes gezogen, hat ausgeführt die GerechtigkeitGerechtigkeit des HERRN und seine GerichteGerichte mit14 IsraelIsrael.15 21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.8
22 Und von DanDan sprach er: DanDan ist ein junger LöweLöwe, der hervorspringt aus BasanBasan.22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
23 Und von NaphtaliNaphtali sprach er: NaphtaliNaphtali, gesättigt mit Huld und voll des Segens des HERRN! WestenWesten und SüdenSüden nimm in Besitz! 23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south.
24 Und von AserAser sprach er: Gesegnet an Söhnen sei AserAser; er sei wohlgefällig seinen BrüdernBrüdern, und er tauche in Öl seinen Fuß!24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
25 EisenEisen und KupferKupfer seien deine RiegelRiegel, und wie deine TageTage, so deine Kraft16! 25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.9
26 Keiner ist wie der Gott17 JeschurunsJeschuruns, der auf den Himmeln einherfährt zu deiner Hilfe, und in seiner Hoheit auf den Wolken.26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27 Deine Wohnung ist der GottGott der Urzeit, und unter dir sind ewige ArmeArme; und er vertreibt vor dir den Feind und spricht: Vertilge! 27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 Und IsraelIsrael wohnt sicher, abgesondert die QuelleQuelle JakobsJakobs, in einem Land von KornKorn und Most; und sein HimmelHimmel träufelt TauTau.28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
29 Glückselig bist du, IsraelIsrael! Wer ist wie du, ein Volk, gerettet durch den HERRN, den SchildSchild deiner Hilfe und der das SchwertSchwert deiner Hoheit ist? Und es werden dir schmeicheln18 deine Feinde, und du, du wirst umhergehen auf ihren Höhen. 29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.10
