1 In jener ZeitZeit sprach der HERR zu mir: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln aus, wie die ersten, und steige zu mir herauf auf den BergBerg; und mach dir eine LadeLade von HolzHolz;1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
2 und ich werde auf die Tafeln die WorteWorte schreiben, die auf den ersten Tafeln waren, die du zerbrochen hast; und du sollst sie in die LadeLade legen.2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
3 Und ich machte eine LadeLade von AkazienholzAkazienholz und hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln aus, wie die ersten; und ich stieg auf den BergBerg, und die zwei Tafeln waren in meiner Hand.3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
4 Und er schrieb auf die Tafeln wie die erste Schrift, die zehn WorteWorte, die der HERR auf dem BergBerg zu euch geredet hatte, mitten aus dem FeuerFeuer am TagTag der VersammlungVersammlung; und der HERR gab sie mir.4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.1
5 Und ich wandte mich und stieg von dem BergBerg herab. Und ich legte die Tafeln in die LadeLade, die ich gemacht hatte; und sie sind dort, wie der HERR mir geboten hat. 5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.
6 Und die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael brachen auf von Beerot-Bne-Jaakan nach MoseraMosera. Dort starb AaronAaron, und er wurde dort begraben; und EleasarEleasar, sein SohnSohn, übte den Priesterdienst aus an seiner statt.6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.
7 Von dort brachen sie auf nach GudgodaGudgoda, und von GudgodaGudgoda nach JotbataJotbata, einem Land von Wasserbächen.7 From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.
8 In jener ZeitZeit sonderte der HERR den Stamm LeviLevi aus, um die LadeLade des BundesBundes des HERRN zu tragen, vor dem HERRN zu stehen, um ihm zu dienen und in seinem NamenNamen zu segnen, bis auf diesen TagTag.8 At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.
9 Darum wurde dem LeviLevi kein Teil noch ErbeErbe mit seinen BrüdernBrüdern; der HERR ist sein ErbteilErbteil, so wie der HERR, dein GottGott, zu ihm geredet hat. 9 Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.
10 Ich aber blieb auf dem BergBerg, wie die vorigen TageTage, 40 TageTage und 40 Nächte, und der HERR erhörte mich auch dieses Mal; der HERR wollte dich nicht verderben.10 And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.2
11 Und der HERR sprach zu mir: Mach dich auf, geh hin, um vor dem Volk herzuziehen, damit sie hineinkommen und das Land in Besitz nehmen, das ich ihren VäternVätern geschworen habe, ihnen zu geben.11 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.3
12 Und nun, IsraelIsrael, was fordert der HERR, dein GottGott, von dir, als nur, den HERR, deinen GottGott, zu fürchten, auf allen seinen Wegen zu wandeln und ihn zu lieben, und dem HERRN, deinem GottGott, zu dienen mit deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen SeeleSeele,12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 indem du die GeboteGebote des HERRN und seine SatzungenSatzungen, die ich dir heute gebiete, beobachtest, dir zum Guten? 13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14 Siehe, des HERRN, deines GottesGottes, sind die HimmelHimmel und die HimmelHimmel der HimmelHimmel, die ErdeErde und alles, was in ihr ist.14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15 Jedoch1 deinen VäternVätern hat der HERR sich zugeneigt, sie zu lieben; und er hat euch, ihre Nachkommen nach ihnen, aus allen Völkern erwählt, wie es an diesem TagTag ist.15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
16 So beschneidet denn die Vorhaut eures Herzens und verhärtet euren Nacken nicht mehr!16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 Denn der HERRHERR, euer GottGott, er ist der GottGott der GötterGötter und der HerrHerr der Herren, der große, mächtige und furchtbare GottGott2, der keine Person ansieht und kein Geschenk annimmt;17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18 der Recht schafft der Waise und der Witwe, und den Fremden liebt, so dass er ihm BrotBrot und KleiderKleider gibt.18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19 Und ihr sollt den Fremden lieben; denn ihr seid Fremde gewesen im Land Ägypten.19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 Den HERRN, deinen GottGott, sollst du fürchten, ihm sollst du dienen und ihm anhangen, und bei seinem NamenNamen sollst du schwören.20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
21 Er ist dein Ruhm, und er dein GottGott, der jene großen und furchtbaren Dinge an dir getan hat, die deine AugenAugen gesehen haben.21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
22 Zu 70 Seelen zogen deine VäterVäter nach Ägypten hinab; und nun hat der HERR, dein GottGott, dich gemacht wie die Sterne des HimmelsHimmels an Menge.22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
