1 Und diese sind es, die zu DavidDavid nach ZiklagZiklag kamen1, als er sich noch vor SaulSaul, dem SohnSohn KisKis', verborgen hielt2; auch sie waren unter den Helden, die ihm im KampfKampf halfen,1 Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, helpers of the war.1

9 Und von den GaditernGaditern sonderten sich ab zu DavidDavid, nach der Bergfestung in die WüsteWüste, tapfere Helden, Männer des Heeres zum Krieg, mit SchildSchild und LanzeLanze gerüstet, deren Angesichter wie Löwen-Angesichter, und die den Gazellen auf den Bergen gleich waren an Schnelle: 8 And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit for the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;34

16 Diese sind es, die über den JordanJordan gingen, im ersten Monat, wenn er alle seine Ufer überflutet, und alle Bewohner der Niederungen, im OstenOsten und im WestenWesten, in die Flucht jagten. 15 These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all his banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.6
17 Und es kamen einige von den KindernKindern BenjaminBenjamin und JudaJuda nach der Bergfestung zu DavidDavid. 16 And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
18 Und DavidDavid ging hinaus, ihnen entgegen, und er hob an und sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr zum Frieden zu mir gekommen seid, um mir zu helfen, so wird mein HerzHerz sich mit euch vereinigen; wenn aber, um mich an meine Feinde zu verraten, ohne dass Unrecht in meiner Hand ist, so möge der GottGott unserer VäterVäter es sehen und strafen!17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.789
19 Da kam der GeistGeist über4 AmasaiAmasai, das HauptHaupt der Anführer5: Dein sind wir, DavidDavid, und mit dir, SohnSohn IsaisIsais! FriedeFriede6, FriedeFriede dir, und FriedeFriede deinen Helfern! Denn dein GottGott hilft dir! – Und DavidDavid nahm sie auf und setzte sie zu Häuptern von Scharen.18 Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.10
20 Und von ManasseManasse liefen einige zu DavidDavid über, als er mit den PhilisternPhilistern gegen SaulSaul in den KampfKampf zog; aber sie halfen ihnen nicht; denn nachdem sie RatRat gehalten hatten, entließen ihn die Fürsten der PhilisterPhilister, indem sie sprachen: Auf Gefahr unserer Köpfe könnte er zu seinem HerrnHerrn SaulSaul überlaufen!19 And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.11
21 Als er nach ZiklagZiklag zog, liefen von ManasseManasse zu ihm über: AdnaAdna und JosabadJosabad und JediaelJediael und MichaelMichael und JosabadJosabad und ElihuElihu und ZilletaiZilletai, Häupter der Tausende von ManasseManasse.20 As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
22 Und sie halfen DavidDavid gegen die Streifschar7, denn tapfere Helden waren sie alle; und sie wurden Oberste im Heer.21 And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.12
23 Denn es kamen TagTag für TagTag zu DavidDavid, um ihm zu helfen, bis es ein großes Heerlager wurde, wie ein Heerlager GottesGottes.22 For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
24 Und dies sind die Zahlen der Köpfe der zum Heer Gerüsteten, die zu DavidDavid nach HebronHebron kamen, um ihm das Königreich SaulsSauls zuzuwenden nach dem Befehl des HERRN:23 And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.13
25 Die KinderKinder JudaJuda, die SchildSchild und LanzeLanze trugen, 6800 zum Heer GerüsteteGerüstete.24 The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.14
26 Von den KindernKindern SimeonSimeon: kampfbereite Männer8 zum Heer, 7100. 25 Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.

28 und JojadaJojada, der FürstFürst von AaronAaron, und mit ihm 3700;27 And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;
29 und ZadokZadok, ein Jüngling, ein tapferer HeldHeld, und das HausHaus seines VatersVaters: 22 Oberste.28 And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.
30 Und von den KindernKindern BenjaminBenjamin, den BrüdernBrüdern SaulsSauls: 3000; aber der größte Teil von ihnen hielt bis dahin treu zum HausHaus SaulsSauls9. 29 And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.1516
31 Und von den KindernKindern EphraimEphraim: 20800, kampfbereite Männer10, Männer von NamenNamen, nach ihren Vaterhäusern. 30 And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.17
32 Und von dem halben Stamm ManasseManasse: 18000, die mit NamenNamen angegeben wurden, dass sie hingingen, um DavidDavid zum König zu machen. 31 And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
33 Und von den KindernKindern IssascharIssaschar: Männer, die EinsichtEinsicht hatten in die Zeiten11, um zu wissen, was IsraelIsrael tun musste; ihre Häupter, 200; und alle ihre BrüderBrüder folgten ihrem Befehl12.32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
34 Von SebulonSebulon: die zum Heer auszogen, mit allen Kriegswaffen zum KampfKampf bereit, 50000, und zwar um sich in SchlachtreihenSchlachtreihen zu ordnen13 mit ungeteiltem Herzen.33 Of Zebulun, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, with all instruments of war, fifty thousand, which could keep rank: they were not of double heart.181920
35 Und von NaphtaliNaphtali: 1000 Oberste; und mit ihnen 37000 mit SchildSchild und SpeerSpeer. 34 And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
36 Und von den DaniternDanitern: 28600, zum KampfKampf bereit.35 And of the Danites expert in war twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
37 Und von AserAser: die zum Heer auszogen, zum KampfKampf bereit, 40000. 36 And of Asher, such as went forth to battle, expert in war, forty thousand.21
38 Und von jenseits des JordanJordan, von den RubeniternRubenitern und den GaditernGaditern und dem halben Stamm ManasseManasse: mit allen WaffenWaffen eines Kriegsheeres, 120000. 37 And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
39 Alle diese Kriegsleute, die sich in SchlachtreihenSchlachtreihen ordneten, kamen mit ungeteiltem Herzen nach HebronHebron, um DavidDavid zum König über ganz IsraelIsrael zu machen. Und auch alle übrigen in IsraelIsrael waren eines Herzens, DavidDavid zum König zu machen.38 All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
40 Und sie waren dort bei DavidDavid drei TageTage und aßen und tranken; denn ihre BrüderBrüder hatten für sie zugerichtet.39 And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
41 Und auch die ihnen nahe wohnten, bis nach IssascharIssaschar und SebulonSebulon und NaphtaliNaphtali hin, brachten Lebensmittel14 auf Eseln und auf Kamelen und auf Maultieren und auf RindernRindern: Mehlspeisen, Feigenkuchen und RosinenkuchenRosinenkuchen und WeinWein und Öl und RinderRinder und Kleinvieh in Menge; denn es war FreudeFreude in IsraelIsrael. 40 Moreover they that were nigh them, even unto Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, and meat, meal, cakes of figs, and bunches of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep abundantly: for there was joy in Israel.22
