Chr. 20,1 Und¹ es geschah zur ZeitZeit der Rückkehr des JahresJahres , zur ZeitZeit wann die KönigeKönige ausziehen, da führte JoabJoab die Heeresmacht ins Feld und verheerte das Land der KinderKinder AmmonAmmon ; und er kam und belagerte RabbaRabba . DavidDavid aber blieb in JerusalemJerusalem . Und² JoabJoab schlug RabbaRabba und riss es nieder.	1 KJV: 1. Chr. 20,1 And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.¹

4 Und⁴ es geschah danach, da entstand ein Kampf mit den Philistern bei Geser. Damals erschlug Sibbekai, der Huschatiter, den Sippai, einen von den Söhnen der Rephaim; und sie wurden gedemütigt.

4 And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.³⁴⁵

5 Und wiederum entstand ein Kampf mit den Philistern. Und Elchanan, der Sohn Jairs, erschlug Lachmi, den Bruder⁵ Goliaths, des Gatiters; und der Schaft seines Speeres war wie ein Weberbaum.
