Chr. 14,1 Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.

4 Und dies sind die Namen derer, die ihm in Jerusalem geboren wurden: Schammua und Schobab, Nathan und Salomo

8 Und als die Philister hörten, dass David zum König über ganz Israel gesalbt worden war, da zogen alle Philister herauf, um David zu suchen. Und David hörte es und zog ihnen entgegen.

8 And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

9 Und die Philister kamen und breiteten sich aus im Tal Rephaim.

9 And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

10 Und David befragte Gott und sprach: Soll ich gegen die Philister hinaufziehen, und wirst du sie in meine Hand geben? Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Zieh hinauf, und ich werde sie in deine Hand geben.

10 And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

11 Da zogen sie hinauf nach Baal-Perazim, und David schlug sie dort; und David sprach: Gott hat meine Feinde durch meine Hand durchbrochen, wie ein Wasserdurchbruch. Daher gab man jenem Ort den Namen Baal-Perazim³.

14 Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
