1 Und1 es geschah, als der König in seinem HausHaus wohnte und der HERR ihm ringsumher RuheRuhe geschafft hatte vor allen seinen Feinden,1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;
2 da sprach der König zu NathanNathan, dem ProphetenPropheten: Sieh doch, ich wohne in einem HausHaus von ZedernZedern, und die LadeLade GottesGottes wohnt unter Teppichen.2 That the king said unto Nathan the prophet, See now, I dwell in an house of cedar, but the ark of God dwelleth within curtains.
3 Und NathanNathan sprach zu dem König: Geh hin, tu alles, was du im Herzen hast, denn der HERR ist mit dir. 3 And Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thine heart; for the LORD is with thee.
4 Und es geschah in dieser NachtNacht, da erging das WortWort des HERRN an NathanNathan, indem er sprach: 4 And it came to pass that night, that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,
5 Geh hin und sprich zu meinem KnechtKnecht, zu DavidDavid: So spricht der HERR: Solltest du mir ein HausHaus bauen zu meiner Wohnung?5 Go and tell my servant David, Thus saith the LORD, Shalt thou build me an house for me to dwell in?1
6 denn ich habe nicht in einem HausHaus gewohnt von dem TagTag an, da ich die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael aus Ägypten heraufgeführt habe, bis auf diesen TagTag; sondern ich wanderte umher in einem Zelt2 und in einer Wohnung3.6 Whereas I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.
7 Wo immer ich wanderte unter allen KindernKindern IsraelIsrael, habe ich wohl zu einem der Stämme4 IsraelsIsraels, dem ich gebot, mein Volk IsraelIsrael zu weiden, ein WortWort geredet und gesagt: Warum habt ihr mir nicht ein HausHaus von ZedernZedern gebaut?7 In all the places wherein I have walked with all the children of Israel spake I a word with any of the tribes of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why build ye not me an house of cedar?2
8 Und nun sollst du so zu meinem KnechtKnecht DavidDavid sagen: So spricht der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen: Ich habe dich von der Trift genommen, hinter dem Kleinvieh weg, dass du FürstFürst sein solltest über mein Volk, über IsraelIsrael; 8 Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:3
9 und ich bin mit dir gewesen überall, wohin du gezogen bist, und habe alle deine Feinde vor dir ausgerottet; und ich habe dir einen großen NamenNamen gemacht5, wie der Name der Großen, die auf der ErdeErde sind.9 And I was with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight, and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.4
10 Und ich werde einen Ort setzen für mein Volk, für IsraelIsrael, und werde es pflanzen, dass es an seiner Stätte wohne und nicht mehr beunruhigt werde, und die Söhne der Ungerechtigkeit sollen es nicht mehr bedrücken, 10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime,
11 wie früher und seit dem TagTag, da ich RichterRichter über mein Volk IsraelIsrael bestellt habe. Und ich habe dir RuheRuhe geschafft vor allen deinen Feinden; und der HERR lässt sich wissen, dass der HERR dir ein HausHaus machen wird. 11 And as since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. Also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.
12 Wenn deine TageTage voll sein werden, und du bei deinen VäternVätern liegen wirst, so werde ich deinen Nachkommen nach dir erwecken, der aus deinem Leib kommen soll, und werde sein Königtum befestigenbefestigen. 12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13 Der wird meinem NamenNamen ein HausHaus bauen; und ich werde den ThronThron seines Königtums befestigenbefestigen auf ewig. 13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
14 Ich will ihm VaterVater sein, und er soll mir SohnSohn sein, so dass, wenn er verkehrt handelt, ich ihn züchtigen werde mit einer Menschenrute und mit Schlägen der Menschenkinder;14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
15 aber meine Güte soll nicht von ihm weichen, wie ich sie von SaulSaul weichen ließ, den ich vor dir weggetan habe.15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.
16 Und dein HausHaus und dein Königtum sollen vor dir beständig sein auf ewig, dein ThronThron soll fest sein auf ewig. 16 And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.
17 Nach allen diesen Worten und nach diesem ganzen Gesicht, so redete NathanNathan zu DavidDavid.17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
18 Da ging der König DavidDavid hinein und setzte sich vor dem HERRN nieder und sprach: Wer bin ich, HerrHerr, HERRHERR, und was ist mein HausHaus, dass du mich bis hierher gebracht hast?18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?
19 Und dies ist noch ein Geringes gewesen in deinen AugenAugen, HerrHerr, HERRHERR! Und du hast auch von dem HausHaus deines KnechtesKnechtes geredet in die Ferne hin; und ist dies die WeiseWeise des Menschen, HerrHerr, HERRHERR?ERR! (vergl. 1. Chron. 17,17)">6 19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?5
20 Doch was soll DavidDavid noch weiter zu dir reden? Du kennst ja deinen KnechtKnecht, HerrHerr, HERRHERR!20 And what can David say more unto thee? for thou, Lord GOD, knowest thy servant.
21 Um deines WortesWortes willen und nach deinem Herzen hast du all dieses Große getan, um es deinem KnechtKnecht mitzuteilen. 21 For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them.
22 Darum bist du groß, GottGott, der HERR! Denn niemand ist dir gleich, und kein GottGott außer dir, nach allem, was wir mit unseren Ohren gehört haben.22 Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
23 Und wer ist wie dein Volk, wie IsraelIsrael, die einzige Nation auf der ErdeErde, die7 GottGott hingegangen ist, sich zum Volk zu erlösen und um sich einen NamenNamen zu machen und für sie8 solch Großes zu tun und furchtbare Dinge für dein Land, indem du vor deinem Volk, das du dir aus Ägypten erlöst hast, NationenNationen und ihre GötterGötter vertriebst9!23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods?
24 Und du hast dir dein Volk IsraelIsrael befestigtbefestigt, dir zum Volk auf ewig; und du, HERR, bist ihr GottGott10 geworden. 24 For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God.
25 Und nun, GottGott, der HERR, das WortWort, das du über deinen KnechtKnecht und über sein HausHaus geredet hast, halte aufrecht ewiglich, und tu, wie du geredet hast! 25 And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.
26 Und dein Name sei groß11 auf ewig, dass man spreche: Der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen ist GottGott über IsraelIsrael. Und das HausHaus deines KnechtesKnechtes DavidDavid sei fest vor dir. 26 And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee.
27 Denn du, der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen, GottGott IsraelsIsraels, hast dem OhrOhr deines KnechtesKnechtes eröffnet und gesagt: Ich werde dir ein HausHaus bauen; darum hat dein KnechtKnecht sich ein HerzHerz gefasst, dieses GebetGebet zu dir zu betenbeten.27 For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.6
28 Und nun, HerrHerr, HERRHERR, du bist es, der da GottGott ist12 und deine WorteWorte sind WahrheitWahrheit, und du hast dieses Gute zu deinem KnechtKnecht geredet.28 And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:
29 So lass es dir nun gefallen und segne das HausHaus deines KnechtesKnechtes, dass es ewiglich vor dir sei; denn du, HerrHerr, HERRHERR, hast geredet, und so werde mit deinem Segen das HausHaus deines KnechtesKnechtes gesegnet ewiglich! 29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever.7
