1 Und1 alle StämmeStämme IsraelsIsraels kamen zu DavidDavid nach HebronHebron, und sie sprachen und sagten: Siehe, wir sind dein Gebein und dein FleischFleisch.1 Then came all the tribes of Israel to David unto Hebron, and spake, saying, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh.
2 Schon früher, als SaulSaul König über uns war, bist du es gewesen, der IsraelIsrael aus- und einführte; und der HERR hat zu dir gesagt: Du sollst mein Volk IsraelIsrael weiden, und du sollst FürstFürst sein über IsraelIsrael.2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and the LORD said to thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captain over Israel.
3 Und alle Ältesten IsraelsIsraels kamen zu dem König nach HebronHebron, und der König DavidDavid machte einen BundBund mit ihnen in HebronHebron, vor dem HERRN; und sie salbten DavidDavid zum König über IsraelIsrael. 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
4 DavidDavid war 30 JahreJahre alt, als er König wurde; er regierte 40 JahreJahre.4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
5 Zu HebronHebron regierte er 7 JahreJahre und 6 MonateMonate über JudaJuda, und in JerusalemJerusalem regierte er 33 JahreJahre über ganz IsraelIsrael und JudaJuda.5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
6 Und der König zog mit seinen Männern nach JerusalemJerusalem gegen die JebusiterJebusiter, die Bewohner des Landes. Und sie sprachen zu DavidDavid und sagten: Du wirst nicht hier hereinkommen, sondern die Blinden und die Lahmen werden dich wegtreiben; sie wollten damit sagen: DavidDavid wird nicht hier hereinkommen.6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither.1
7 Aber DavidDavid nahm die BurgBurg ZionZion ein, das ist die Stadt DavidsDavids.7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same is the city of David.
8 Und DavidDavid sprach an diesem TagTag: Wer die JebusiterJebusiter schlägt und an die WasserleitungWasserleitung gelangt, und die Lahmen und die Blinden, die der SeeleSeele DavidsDavids verhasst sind! Daher spricht man: Ein Blinder und ein Lahmer darf nicht ins HausHaus kommen. 8 And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, that are hated of David's soul, he shall be chief and captain. Wherefore they said, The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.2
9 Und DavidDavid wohnte in der BurgBurg, und er nannte sie Stadt DavidsDavids. Und DavidDavid baute ringsum, von dem Millo2 an einwärts. 9 So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo and inward.
10 Und DavidDavid wurde immerfort größer, und der HERR, der GottGott der HeerscharenHeerscharen, war mit ihm.10 And David went on, and grew great, and the LORD God of hosts was with him.3
11 Und3 HiramHiram, der König von TyrusTyrus, sandte Boten zu DavidDavid, und Zedernholz und ZimmerleuteZimmerleute und Mauerleute4; und sie bauten DavidDavid ein HausHaus. 11 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.4
12 Und DavidDavid erkannte, dass der HERR ihn zum König über IsraelIsrael bestätigt hatte und dass er sein Königreich erhoben hatte um seines Volkes IsraelIsrael willen.12 And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
13 Und DavidDavid nahm noch NebenfrauenNebenfrauen und Frauen aus JerusalemJerusalem, nachdem er von HebronHebron gekommen war; und es wurden DavidDavid noch Söhne und Töchter geboren.13 And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.
14 Und dies sind die NamenNamen der ihm in JerusalemJerusalem Geborenen: SchammuaSchammua und SchobabSchobab und NathanNathan und SalomoSalomo14 And these be the names of those that were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon,
15 und Jibschar und ElischuaElischua und NephegNepheg und JaphijaJaphija15 Ibhar also, and Elishua, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
16 und ElischamaElischama und EljadaEljada und ElipheletEliphelet.16 And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphalet.
17 Und als die PhilisterPhilister hörten, dass man DavidDavid zum König über IsraelIsrael gesalbt hatte, da zogen alle PhilisterPhilister herauf, um DavidDavid zu suchen. Und DavidDavid hörte es und zog in die BurgBurg hinab. 17 But when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines came up to seek David; and David heard of it, and went down to the hold.
18 Und die PhilisterPhilister kamen und breiteten sich aus im TalTal RephaimRephaim.18 The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
19 Und DavidDavid befragte den HERRN und sprach: Soll ich gegen die PhilisterPhilister hinaufziehen? Wirst du sie in meine Hand geben? Und der HERR sprach zu DavidDavid: Zieh hinauf, denn ich werde die PhilisterPhilister gewisslich in deine Hand geben.19 And David enquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.
20 Da kam DavidDavid nach Baal-PerazimBaal-Perazim. Und DavidDavid schlug sie dort, und er sprach: Der HERR hat meine Feinde vor mir durchbrochen, wie ein Wasserdurchbruch. Daher gab er jenem Ort den NamenNamen Baal-PerazimBaal-Perazim5.20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim.5
21 Und sie ließen dort ihre Götzen, und DavidDavid und seine Männer nahmen sie weg.21 And there they left their images, and David and his men burned them.6
22 Und die PhilisterPhilister zogen wiederum herauf und breiteten sich aus im TalTal RephaimRephaim.22 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.
23 Und DavidDavid befragte den HERRN; und er sprach: Du sollst nicht hinaufziehen; wende dich ihnen in den Rücken, dass du an sie kommst den Bakabäumen gegenüber.23 And when David enquired of the LORD, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.
24 Und sobald du das Geräusch eines Daherschreitens in den Wipfeln der Bakabäume hörst, dann beeile dich; denn dann ist der HERR vor dir ausgezogen, um das Heer der PhilisterPhilister zu schlagen. 24 And let it be, when thou hearest the sound of a going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt bestir thyself: for then shall the LORD go out before thee, to smite the host of the Philistines.
25 Und DavidDavid tat so, wie der HERR ihm geboten hatte; und er schlug die PhilisterPhilister von GebaGeba, bis man nach GeserGeser kommt.25 And David did so, as the LORD had commanded him; and smote the Philistines from Geba until thou come to Gazer.
