1 Und es geschah nach diesen Dingen: NabotNabot, der JisreeliterJisreeliter, hatte einen WeinbergWeinberg, der zu JisreelJisreel war, neben dem PalastPalast AhabsAhabs, des Königs von SamariaSamaria.1 And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
2 Und AhabAhab redete zu NabotNabot und sprach: Gib mir deinen WeinbergWeinberg, dass er mein Krautgarten werde, denn er ist nahe bei meinem HausHaus; und ich will dir statt seiner einen besseren WeinbergWeinberg geben; oder wenn es gut ist in deinen AugenAugen, will ich dir GeldGeld geben, im Wert desselben. 2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.1
3 Aber NabotNabot sprach zu AhabAhab: Das lasse der HERR fern von mir sein, dass ich dir das ErbeErbe meiner VäterVäter geben sollte!3 And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
4 Und AhabAhab kam in sein HausHaus, missmutig und zornig über das WortWort, das NabotNabot, der JisreeliterJisreeliter, zu ihm geredet hatte, indem er sprach: Ich will dir das ErbeErbe meiner VäterVäter nicht geben. Und er legte sich auf sein BettBett und wandte sein Angesicht ab und aß nichts.4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
5 Und IsebelIsebel, seine FrauFrau, kam zu ihm hinein und sprach zu ihm: Warum ist doch dein GeistGeist missmutig, und warum isst du nichts? 5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?
6 Und er sprach zu ihr: Weil ich zu NabotNabot, dem JisreeliterJisreeliter, geredet und ihm gesagt habe1: Gib mir deinen WeinbergWeinberg um GeldGeld, oder wenn du Lust hast, will ich dir statt seiner einen anderen WeinbergWeinberg geben; aber er sagte: Ich will dir meinen WeinbergWeinberg nicht geben. 6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
7 Da sprach IsebelIsebel, seine FrauFrau, zu ihm: Du, übst du jetzt Königsmacht über IsraelIsrael aus? Steh auf, iss, und lass dein HerzHerz fröhlich sein. Ich werde dir den WeinbergWeinberg NabotsNabots, des JisreelitersJisreeliters, geben.7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.
8 Und sie schrieb BriefeBriefe im NamenNamen AhabsAhabs und siegelte sie mit seinem SiegelSiegel, und sandte die BriefeBriefe an die Ältesten und an die Edlen, die in seiner Stadt waren, die mit NabotNabot zusammen wohnten.8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.
9 Und sie schrieb in den Briefen folgendes: Ruft ein FastenFasten aus, und setzt NabotNabot obenan unter dem Volk;9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:2
10 und setzt zwei Männer, Söhne Belials2, ihm gegenüber, dass sie gegen ihn zeugenzeugen und sprechen: Du hast GottGott und den König gelästert! Und führt ihn hinaus und steinigt ihn, dass er sterbe.10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.
11 Und die Männer seiner Stadt, die Ältesten und die Edlen, die in seiner Stadt wohnten, taten, wie IsebelIsebel ihnen entboten hatte, so wie in den Briefen geschrieben war, die sie an sie gesandt hatte.11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.
12 Sie riefen ein FastenFasten aus und setzten NabotNabot obenan unter dem Volk;12 They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.
13 und die zwei Männer, Söhne BelialsBelials, kamen und setzten sich ihm gegenüber; und die Männer BelialsBelials zeugtenzeugten gegen ihn, gegen NabotNabot, vor dem Volk und sprachen: NabotNabot hat GottGott und den König gelästert! Und sie führten ihn zur Stadt hinaus und steinigten ihn, und er starb.13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
14 Und sie sandten zu IsebelIsebel und ließen ihr sagen: NabotNabot ist gesteinigt worden und ist gestorben.14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.
15 Und es geschah, als IsebelIsebel hörte, dass NabotNabot gesteinigt worden und gestorben war, da sprach IsebelIsebel zu AhabAhab: Mach dich auf, nimm den WeinbergWeinberg NabotsNabots, des JisreelitersJisreeliters, in Besitz, den er sich geweigert hat, dir um GeldGeld zu geben; denn NabotNabot lebt nicht mehr, sondern ist tot.15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.
16 Und es geschah, als AhabAhab hörte, dass NabotNabot tot war, da machte sich AhabAhab auf, um in den WeinbergWeinberg NabotsNabots, des JisreelitersJisreeliters, hinabzugehen, um ihn in Besitz zu nehmen.16 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
17 Da erging das WortWort des HERRN an EliaElia, dem TisbiterTisbiter, indem er sprach:17 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
18 Mach dich auf, geh hinab, AhabAhab, dem König von IsraelIsrael, entgegen, der in SamariaSamaria ist; siehe, er ist im WeinbergWeinberg NabotsNabots, wohin er hinabgegangen ist, um ihn in Besitz zu nehmen.18 Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.
19 Und rede zu ihm und sprich: So spricht der HERR: Hast du gemordet und auch in Besitz genommen? Und rede zu ihm und sprich: So spricht der HERR: An der Stelle, wo die HundeHunde das BlutBlut NabotsNabots geleckt haben, sollen die HundeHunde dein, auch dein BlutBlut lecken.19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
20 Und AhabAhab sprach zu EliaElia: Hast du mich gefunden, mein Feind? Und er sprach: Ich habe dich gefunden, weil du dich verkauft hast, um zu tun, was böse ist in den AugenAugen des HERRN.20 And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
21 Siehe, ich will Unglück über dich bringen und hinter dir her ausfegen; und ich werde von AhabAhab ausrotten, was männlich ist, sowohl den Gebundenen als auch den Freien in IsraelIsrael;21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,
22 und ich werde dein HausHaus machen wie das HausHaus Jerobeams, des SohnesSohnes NebatsNebats, und wie das HausHaus BaesasBaesas, des SohnesSohnes AchijasAchijas, wegen der Reizung, womit du mich gereizt und IsraelIsrael sündigen gemacht hast.22 And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.
23 Und auch von IsebelIsebel hat der HERR geredet und gesprochen: Die HundeHunde sollen IsebelIsebel fressen an der Vormauer von JisreelJisreel.23 And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.3
24 Wer von AhabAhab in der Stadt stirbt, den sollen die HundeHunde fressen, und wer auf dem Feld stirbt, den sollen die VögelVögel des HimmelsHimmels fressen.24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.
25 (Es ist gar keiner gewesen wie AhabAhab, der sich verkauft hätte, um zu tun, was böse ist in den AugenAugen des HERRN, den IsebelIsebel, seine FrauFrau, anreizte3.25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.4
26 Und er tat sehr viele Gräuel4, indem er den Götzen nachwandelte, nach allem, was die AmoriterAmoriter getan, die der HERR vor den KindernKindern IsraelIsrael ausgetrieben hatte.) 26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
27 Und es geschah, als AhabAhab diese WorteWorte hörte, da zerriss er seine KleiderKleider und legte SacktuchSacktuch um seinen Leib und fastetefastete; und er lag im SacktuchSacktuch, und er ging still umher.27 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.
28 Da erging das WortWort des HERRN an EliaElia, dem TisbiterTisbiter, indem er sprach:28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
29 Hast du gesehen, dass AhabAhab sich vor mir gedemütigt hat? Weil er sich vor mir gedemütigt hat, will ich das Unglück in seinen Tagen nicht bringen; in den Tagen seines SohnesSohnes will ich das Unglück über sein HausHaus bringen.29 Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.
