9 Mein ist Gilead, und mein Manasse, und Ephraim ist die Wehr meines Hauptes, Juda mein Herrscherstab³.

8 Moab is my wash-pot; upon Edom will I cast my sandal; Philistia, shout aloud because of me.

10 Moab ist mein Waschbecken, auf Edom will ich meine Sandale werfen; Philistäa, jauchze mir zu!

9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me unto Edom?

11 Wer wird mich führen in die feste Stadt, wer wird mich leiten bis nach Edom?

10 Wilt not thou, O God, who didst cast us off? and didst not go forth, O God, with our armies?

12 Nicht du, Gott, der du uns verworfen hast, und nicht auszogest, o Gott, mit unseren Heeren?

11 Give us help from trouble; for vain is man's deliverance.

13 Schaffe uns Hilfe aus der Bedrängnis⁴! Menschenrettung ist ja eitel.
