23 Die Söhne LevisLevis, die Häupter der VäterVäter, sind in dem BuchBuch der Chroniken eingeschrieben, und zwar bis auf die TageTage JochanansJochanans, des SohnesSohnes EljaschibsEljaschibs. 23 The sons of Levi, the chief of the fathers, were written in the book of the chronicles, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.
24 Und die Häupter der LevitenLeviten waren HaschabjaHaschabja, ScherebjaScherebja und JeschuaJeschua, der SohnSohn des KadmielKadmiel4, und ihre BrüderBrüder, die ihnen gegenüber standen, um zu loben und zu preisen, nach dem Gebot DavidsDavids, des MannesMannes GottesGottes, AbteilungAbteilung gegenüber AbteilungAbteilung5.24 And the chief of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brethren over against them, to praise and to give thanks, according to the commandment of David the man of God, ward over against ward.
25 MattanjaMattanja und BakbukjaBakbukja, ObadjaObadja, MeschullamMeschullam6, TalmonTalmon, AkkubAkkub hielten als TorhüterTorhüter WacheWache bei den VorratskammernVorratskammern der ToreTore.25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, were porters keeping the ward at the thresholds of the gates.10
26 Diese waren in den Tagen JojakimsJojakims, des SohnesSohnes JeschuasJeschuas, des SohnesSohnes JozadaksJozadaks, und in den Tagen NehemiasNehemias, des StatthaltersStatthalters, und EsrasEsras, des PriestersPriesters, des Schriftgelehrten.26 These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27 Und bei der Einweihung der Mauer von JerusalemJerusalem suchte man die LevitenLeviten aus allen ihren Orten, dass man sie nach JerusalemJerusalem brächte, um die Einweihung zu feiern mit Freuden und mit LobliedernLobliedern und mit GesangGesang, mit ZimbelnZimbeln, Harfen und Lauten. 27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.
28 Da versammelten sich die Söhne der Sänger, sowohl aus dem Kreis7 in der Umgebung von JerusalemJerusalem als auch aus den DörfernDörfern der NetophatiterNetophatiter28 And the sons of the singers gathered themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi;
29 und aus Beth-Gilgal und aus den Gefilden von GebaGeba und AsmawetAsmawet; denn die Sänger hatten sich in der Umgebung von JerusalemJerusalem DörferDörfer gebaut.29 Also from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages round about Jerusalem.
30 Und die PriesterPriester und die LevitenLeviten reinigten sich; und sie reinigten das Volk und die ToreTore und die Mauer.30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.
31 Und ich ließ die Obersten von JudaJuda oben auf die Mauer steigen; und ich stellte zwei große Dankchöre und Züge auf. Der eine zog zur Rechten8, oben auf der Mauer, zum MisttorMisttor hin.31 Then I brought up the princes of Judah upon the wall, and appointed two great companies of them that gave thanks, whereof one went on the right hand upon the wall toward the dung gate:

35 und von den Söhnen der PriesterPriester mit TrompetenTrompeten: SekarjaSekarja, der SohnSohn JonathansJonathans, des SohnesSohnes SchemajasSchemajas, des SohnesSohnes MattanjasMattanjas, des SohnesSohnes MikajasMikajas, des SohnesSohnes SakkursSakkurs, des SohnesSohnes AsaphsAsaphs;35 And certain of the priests' sons with trumpets; namely, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph:

37 Und sie zogen zum Quelltor; und sie stiegen gerade vor sich hin auf den Stufen der Stadt DavidsDavids den AufgangAufgang der Mauer hinauf, und zogen an dem HausHaus DavidsDavids vorüber und bis an das Wassertor im OstenOsten.37 And at the fountain gate, which was over against them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall, above the house of David, even unto the water gate eastward.
38 Und der zweite Dankchor zog nach der entgegengesetzten Seite10, und ich und die Hälfte des Volkes ging hinter ihm her, oben auf der Mauer, an dem OfenturmOfenturm vorüber und bis an die breite Mauer;38 And the other company of them that gave thanks went over against them, and I after them, and the half of the people upon the wall, from beyond the tower of the furnaces even unto the broad wall;
39 und an dem TorTor EphraimEphraim und dem TorTor der alten Mauer und dem Fischtor und dem TurmTurm HananeelHananeel und dem TurmTurm MeaMea vorüber und bis an das Schaftor; und sie blieben beim Gefängnistor stehen. 39 And from above the gate of Ephraim, and above the old gate, and above the fish gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, even unto the sheep gate: and they stood still in the prison gate.
40 Und beide Dankchöre stellten sich am HausHaus GottesGottes auf; und ich und die Hälfte der VorsteherVorsteher mit mir,40 So stood the two companies of them that gave thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
41 und die PriesterPriester EljakimEljakim, MaasejaMaaseja, MinjaminMinjamin, MikajaMikaja, EljoenaiEljoenai, SekarjaSekarja, HananjaHananja, mit TrompetenTrompeten;41 And the priests; Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, and Hananiah, with trumpets;
42 und MaasejaMaaseja und SchemajaSchemaja und EleasarEleasar und UssiUssi und JochananJochanan und MalkijaMalkija und ElamElam und EserEser. Und die Sänger ließen ihre Stimme erschallen, und JisrachjaJisrachja war ihr VorsteherVorsteher.42 And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer. And the singers sang loud, with Jezrahiah their overseer.11
43 Und sie opferten an diesem TagTag große SchlachtopferSchlachtopfer und freuten sich, denn GottGott hatte ihnen große FreudeFreude gegeben; und auch die Frauen und die KinderKinder freuten sich. Und die FreudeFreude JerusalemsJerusalems wurde bis in die Ferne hin gehört.43 Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off.
44 Und es wurden an diesem Tag11 Männer bestellt über die VorratskammernVorratskammern für die HebopferHebopfer, für die ErstlingeErstlinge und für die Zehnten, um von den Feldern12 der Städte die gesetzlichen Teile für die PriesterPriester und für die LevitenLeviten hinein zu sammeln; denn JudaJuda hatte FreudeFreude an den PriesternPriestern und an den LevitenLeviten, die dastanden13. 44 And at that time were some appointed over the chambers for the treasures, for the offerings, for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for the priests and Levites: for Judah rejoiced for the priests and for the Levites that waited.121314
45 Und sie warteten der HutHut ihres GottesGottes und der HutHut der ReinigungReinigung14; und so auch die Sänger und die TorhüterTorhüter, nach dem Gebot DavidsDavids und seines SohnesSohnes SalomoSalomo. 45 And both the singers and the porters kept the ward of their God, and the ward of the purification, according to the commandment of David, and of Solomon his son.
46 Denn damals, in den Tagen DavidsDavids und AsaphsAsaphs, gab es Häupter der Sänger und Preis- und Lobgesänge15 für GottGott. 46 For in the days of David and Asaph of old there were chief of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
47 Und ganz IsraelIsrael gab in den Tagen SerubbabelsSerubbabels und in den Tagen NehemiasNehemias die Teile der Sänger und der TorhüterTorhüter, den täglichen Bedarf; das GeheiligteGeheiligte aber gaben sie den16 LevitenLeviten, und die LevitenLeviten gaben das GeheiligteGeheiligte den17 Söhnen AaronsAarons.47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, gave the portions of the singers and the porters, every day his portion: and they sanctified holy things unto the Levites; and the Levites sanctified them unto the children of Aaron.15
