11 ELB-BK: Hag. 2,11 So spricht der HERR der HeerscharenHeerscharen : Frage doch die PriesterPriester über das Gesetz³ und sprich:	11 KJV: Hag. 2,11 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,
12 ELB-BK: Hag. 2,12 Siehe, trägt jemand heiliges FleischFleisch im Zipfel seines Kleides, und er berührt mit seinem Zipfel BrotBrot oder Gekochtes oder WeinWein oder Öl oder irgendeine Speise, wird es heilig werden? Und die PriesterPriester antworteten und sprachen: Nein.	12 KJV: Hag. 2,12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.
13 ELB-BK: Hag. 2,13 Und HaggaiHaggai sprach: Wenn ein wegen einer Leiche Verunreinigter alles dieses anrührt, wird es unrein werden? Und die PriesterPriester antworteten und sprachen: Es wird unrein werden.	13 KJV: Hag. 2,13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.
14 ELB-BK: Hag. 2,14 Da antwortete HaggaiHaggai und sprach: So ist dieses Volk und so diese Nation vor mir, spricht der HERR, und so ist alles Tun ihrer Hände; und was sie dort darbringen, ist unrein.	14 KJV: Hag. 2,14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

16 ELB-BK: Hag. 2,16 Bevor dieses geschah: Kam man zu einem Garbenhaufen von 20 MaßMaß, so wurden es 10; kam man zu dem Fass, um 50 Eimer zu schöpfen, so wurden es 20.	16 KJV: Hag. 2,16 Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.
17 ELB-BK: Hag. 2,17 Ich schlug euch mit Kornbrand und mit Vergilben, und mit HagelHagel alle Arbeit eurer Hände; und ihr kehrtet nicht zu mir um, spricht der HERR.	17 KJV: Hag. 2,17 I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.

Von diesem TagTag an will ich segnen.	19 KJV: Hag. 2,19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

1 In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,¹

2 Rede doch zu Serubbabel, dem Sohn Schealtiels, dem Statthalter von Juda, und zu Josua, dem Sohn Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, und zu dem Überrest des Volkes, und sprich:

2 Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,

3 Wer ist unter euch übriggeblieben, der dieses Haus in seiner früheren Herrlichkeit gesehen hat? Und wie seht ihr es jetzt? Ist es nicht wie nichts in euren Augen?

3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

4 Und nun sei stark, Serubbabel, spricht der HERR; und sei stark, Josua, Sohn Jozadaks, du Hoherpriester, und seid stark, alles Volk des Landes, spricht der HERR, und arbeitet! Denn ich bin mit euch, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.

4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

5 Das Wort, das ich mit euch eingegangen bin¹, als ihr aus Ägypten zogt, und mein Geist bestehen in eurer Mitte: Fürchtet euch nicht!

5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

6 Denn so spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Noch einmal, eine kurze Zeit ist es, da werde ich den Himmel erschüttern und die Erde und das Meer und das Trockene.

6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

7 Und ich werde alle Nationen erschüttern; und das Ersehnte aller Nationen wird kommen², und ich werde dieses Haus mit Herrlichkeit füllen, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.

7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

8 Mein ist das Silber und mein das Gold, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.

8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

9 Die letzte Herrlichkeit dieses Hauses wird größer sein als die erste, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen; und an diesem Ort will ich Frieden geben, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.

9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

10 Am 24. des 9. Monats, im 2. Jahr des Darius, erging das Wort des HERRN an den Propheten Haggai, indem er sprach:

10 In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

11 So spricht der HERR der Heerscharen: Frage doch die Priester über das Gesetz³ und sprich:

11 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

12 Siehe, trägt jemand heiliges Fleisch im Zipfel seines Kleides, und er berührt mit seinem Zipfel Brot oder Gekochtes oder Wein oder Öl oder irgendeine Speise, wird es heilig werden? Und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Nein.

12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.

13 Und Haggai sprach: Wenn ein wegen einer Leiche Verunreinigter alles dieses anrührt, wird es unrein werden? Und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Es wird unrein werden.

14 Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

15 Und nun richtet doch euer Herz auf die Zeit von diesem Tag an und aufwärts, ehe Stein auf Stein gelegt wurde am Tempel des HERRN!

15 And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:

16 Bevor dieses geschah: Kam man zu einem Garbenhaufen von 20 Maß, so wurden es 10; kam man zu dem Fass, um 50 Eimer zu schöpfen, so wurden es 20.

18 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it.

19 Ist noch die Saat auf dem Speicher? Ja, sogar der Weinstock und der Feigenbaum und der Granatbaum und der Olivenbaum haben nichts getragen. Von diesem Tag an will ich segnen.

19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

20 Und das Wort des HERRN erging zum zweiten Mal an Haggai, am 24. des Monats, indem er sprach:

20 And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,

21 Rede zu Serubbabel, dem Statthalter von Juda, und sprich: Ich werde den Himmel und die Erde erschüttern.

21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

22 Und ich werde den Thron der Königreiche umstürzen und die Macht der Königreiche der Nationen vernichten; und ich werde die Streitwagen umstürzen und die, die darauf fahren; und die Pferde und ihre Reiter sollen hinfallen, jeder durch das Schwert des anderen.

22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

23 An jenem Tag, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen, werde ich dich nehmen, Serubbabel, Sohn Schealtiels, meinen Knecht, spricht der HERR, und werde dich wie einen Siegelring machen. Denn ich habe dich erwählt, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.
