2 HERR, ich habe deine Verkündigung2 vernommen, ich fürchte mich; HERR, belebe3 dein Werk inmitten der JahreJahre, inmitten der JahreJahre mache es kund; im ZornZorn gedenke des Erbarmens! – 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.23
3 Gott4 kommt von TemanTeman her und der HeiligeHeilige vom GebirgeGebirge ParanParan. (SelaSela.) Seine Pracht5 bedeckt die HimmelHimmel, und die ErdeErde ist voll seines Ruhmes.3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.4
4 Und es entsteht ein Glanz wie das Sonnenlicht; Strahlen sind zu seinen Seiten, und dort ist die Hülle seiner MachtMacht. 4 And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.5
5 Vor ihm her geht die PestPest, und die Seuche zieht aus, seinen Füßen nach.5 Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.6
6 Er stand und machte die ErdeErde schwanken6, er schaute und machte aufbeben die NationenNationen; und es zerbarsten7 die BergeBerge der Vorzeit, es senkten sich die ewigen Hügel; seine Wege sind die Wege der Vorzeit8. 6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.
7 Unter TrübsalTrübsal sah ich die ZelteZelte Kuschans9, es zitterten die Zeltbehänge des Landes MidianMidian.7 I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.78
8 Ist der HERR gegen die Ströme entbrannt? Ist etwa dein ZornZorn gegen die Ströme, dein Grimm gegen das MeerMeer, dass du einherziehst auf deinen Pferden, deinen WagenWagen der Rettung? 8 Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?9
9 Entblößt, entblößt ist dein BogenBogen ... Zuchtruten, geschworen durch dein WortWort! (SelaSela.) Zu Strömen spaltest du die ErdeErde.9 Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.10
10 Es sahen dich, es zitterten die BergeBerge; eine Wasserflut fuhr daher, die Tiefe ließ ihre Stimme erschallen, zur HöheHöhe erhob sie ihre Hände. 10 The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.
11 SonneSonne und MondMond traten in ihre Wohnung beim LichtLicht deiner PfeilePfeile, die daherschossen, beim Glanz deines blitzenden SpeeresSpeeres.11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.11
12 Im Grimm durchschreitest du die ErdeErde, im ZornZorn stampfst du die NationenNationen.12 Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
13 Du zogst aus zum HeilHeil deines Volkes, zum HeilHeil deines Gesalbten: Du zerschmettertest das Haupt10 vom HausHaus des Gottlosen, entblößend den Grund bis zum Hals. (SelaSela.)13 Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.12
14 Du durchbohrtest mit seinen eigenen Spießen die Häupter seiner Scharen11, die heranstürmten, mich zu zerstäuben, deren Frohlocken war, den Elenden im Verborgenen zu verschlingen. 14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.13
15 Du betratest das MeerMeer mit deinen Pferden, den Schwall großer Wasser. – 15 Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.14
16 Ich vernahm es, und es zitterte mein Leib; bei der Stimme bebten meine Lippen; Morschheit drang in meine Gebeine, und wo ich stand, erzitterte ich: der ich ruhen werde am TagTag12 der DrangsalDrangsal, wenn derjenige gegen das Volk heranzieht, der es angreifen wird.16 When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.15
17 Denn der FeigenbaumFeigenbaum wird nicht blühen, und kein Ertrag wird an den Reben sein; und es trügt die Frucht des OlivenbaumesOlivenbaumes, und die Getreidefelder tragen keine Speise; aus der HürdeHürde ist verschwunden das Kleinvieh, und kein RindRind ist in den Ställen. –17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:16
18 Ich aber, ich will in dem HERRN frohlocken, will jubeln in dem GottGott meines HeilsHeils.18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 Der HERRHERR, der HerrHerr, ist meine KraftKraft und macht meine Füße denen der Hirschkühe gleich und lässt mich umherschreiten auf meinen Höhen13.Dem Vorsänger. Mit meinem SaitenspielSaitenspiel!19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.17
