Eine Stimme singt im FensterFenster , Trümmer sind auf der Schwelle, denn er hat das Zederngetäfel bloßgelegt.	14 KJV: Zeph. 2,14 And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds: for he shall uncover the cedar work.⁴⁵⁶

2 ehe der Beschluss gebiert¹, – wie Spreu fährt der Tag daher – ehe denn über euch komme die Glut des Zorns des HERRN, ehe denn über euch komme der Tag des Zorns des HERRN!

2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD'S anger come upon you.

3 Sucht den HERRN, alle ihr Sanftmütigen² des Landes, die ihr sein Recht gewirkt habt; sucht Gerechtigkeit, sucht Demut; vielleicht werdet ihr geborgen am Tag des Zorns des HERRN.

5 Wehe den Bewohnern des Landstrichs am Meer, der Nation der Keretiter! Das Wort des HERRN kommt über euch, Kanaan, Land der Philister, und ich werde dich vernichten, dass kein Bewohner mehr bleibt.

5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

6 Und der Landstrich am Meer wird zu Triften voll Hirtenzisternen und Kleinviehhürden werden;

6 And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.

7 und es wird ein Landstrich sein für den Überrest des Hauses Juda: Sie werden darauf weiden und am Abend sich lagern in den Häusern Askalons; denn der HERR, ihr Gott, wird sich ihrer annehmen und ihre Gefangenschaft wenden.

7 And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.²

8 Ich habe gehört die Schmähung Moabs und die Lästerungen der Kinder Ammon, womit sie mein Volk geschmäht und großgetan haben gegen dessen Gebiet.
