1 Da gab der König DariusDarius Befehl, und man suchte nach in dem Urkundenhaus, worin man die Schätze niederlegte in BabelBabel. 1 Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.12
2 Und es wurde in Achmetha1, in der Burg2, die in der Landschaft MedienMedien liegt, eine Rolle gefunden; und darin war eine Denkschrift so geschrieben:2 And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:3
3 Im ersten JahrJahr des Königs KoresKores gab der König KoresKores Befehl: Das HausHaus GottesGottes in JerusalemJerusalem anlangend: Dieses HausHaus soll wieder aufgebaut werden als eine Stätte, wo man SchlachtopferSchlachtopfer opfert. Und seine Grundlagen sollen aufgerichtet werden: seine HöheHöhe 60 Ellen, seine Breite 60 Ellen;3 In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
4 drei Lagen von Quadersteinen und eine Lage von neuen Balken3. Und die Kosten sollen aus dem HausHaus des Königs bestritten werden.4 With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house:
5 Und auch die goldenen und silbernen Geräte des Hauses GottesGottes, die NebukadnezarNebukadnezar aus dem TempelTempel, der in JerusalemJerusalem war, herausgenommen und nach BabelBabel gebracht hat, soll man zurückgeben, dass ein jedes wieder in den TempelTempel in JerusalemJerusalem komme, an seinen Ort; und du sollst sie in dem HausHaus GottesGottes niederlegen.5 And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.4
6 Nun denn, TatnaiTatnai, StatthalterStatthalter jenseits des Stromes, Schetar-BosnaiSchetar-Bosnai und eure4 Gefährten, die Apharsakiter, die ihr jenseits des Stromes seid, entfernt euch von dort! 6 Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:5
7 Lasst die Arbeit geschehen an diesem HausHaus GottesGottes; der StatthalterStatthalter der Juden und die Ältesten der Juden mögen dieses HausHaus GottesGottes an seiner früheren Stätte wieder aufbauen.7 Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place.
8 Und von mir wird Befehl gegeben wegen dessen, was ihr diesen Ältesten der Juden für den Bau dieses Hauses GottesGottes tun sollt; nämlich, von den Gütern des Königs, aus der Steuer jenseits des Stromes, sollen diesen Männern die Kosten pünktlich gegeben werden, damit sie nicht gehindert seien. 8 Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.67
9 Und was nötig ist, sowohl junge StiereStiere als auch Widder und Lämmer zu BrandopfernBrandopfern für den GottGott des HimmelsHimmels, WeizenWeizen, SalzSalz, WeinWein und Öl, soll ihnen nach dem Geheiß der PriesterPriester, die in JerusalemJerusalem sind, TagTag für TagTag unfehlbar gegeben werden, 9 And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:
10 damit sie dem GottGott des HimmelsHimmels OpferOpfer lieblichen Geruchs darbringen und für das LebenLeben des Königs und seiner Söhne betenbeten.10 That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.8
11 Und von mir wird Befehl gegeben: Der MenschMensch, der diesen Erlass abändern wird, von dessen HausHaus soll ein Balken ausgerissen und er, aufgehängt, daran geschlagen werden; und sein HausHaus soll dafür zu einer Kotstätte gemacht werden.11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.9
12 Der GottGott aber, der seinen NamenNamen dort wohnen lässt, stürze jeden König und jedes Volk nieder, die ihre Hand ausstrecken werden, diesen Erlass abzuändern, um dieses HausHaus GottesGottes zu zerstören, das in JerusalemJerusalem ist! Ich, DariusDarius, habe den Befehl gegeben; pünktlich soll er vollzogen werden!12 And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
13 Da taten TatnaiTatnai, der StatthalterStatthalter jenseits des Stromes, Schetar-BosnaiSchetar-Bosnai und ihre Gefährten, wegen dessen was5 der König DariusDarius entboten hatte, pünktlich so. 13 Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.
14 Und die Ältesten der Juden bauten; und es gelang ihnen durch die Weissagung HaggaisHaggais, des ProphetenPropheten, und SacharjasSacharjas, des SohnesSohnes IddosIddos; und sie bauten und vollendeten nach dem Befehl des GottesGottes IsraelsIsraels, und nach dem Befehl KoresKores' und DariusDarius' und Artasastas6, des Königs von PersienPersien.14 And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.10
15 Und dieses HausHaus wurde beendet bis zum 3. TagTag des Monats AdarAdar, das ist das 6. JahrJahr der Regierung des Königs DariusDarius. 15 And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
16 Und die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael, die PriesterPriester und die LevitenLeviten und die übrigen KinderKinder der WegführungWegführung feierten die Einweihung dieses Hauses GottesGottes mit Freuden.16 And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,11
17 Und sie brachten dar zur Einweihung dieses Hauses GottesGottes 100 StiereStiere, 200 Widder, 400 Lämmer; und zum SündopferSündopfer für ganz IsraelIsrael 12 Ziegenböcke, nach der Zahl der StämmeStämme IsraelsIsraels.17 And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
18 Und sie stellten die PriesterPriester in ihre Klassen und die LevitenLeviten in ihre AbteilungenAbteilungen zum Dienst GottesGottes in JerusalemJerusalem, nach der Vorschrift des BuchesBuches MosesMoses.18 And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.12
19 Und die KinderKinder der WegführungWegführung feierten das PassahPassah am 14. TagTag des 1. Monats. 19 And the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.
20 Denn die PriesterPriester und die LevitenLeviten hatten sich gereinigt wie ein MannMann; sie waren alle rein. Und sie schlachteten das PassahPassah für alle KinderKinder der WegführungWegführung und für ihre BrüderBrüder, die PriesterPriester, und für sich selbst.20 For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
21 Und die KinderKinder IsraelIsrael, die aus der WegführungWegführung zurückgekehrt waren, und jeder, der sich von der Unreinigkeit der NationenNationen des Landes zu ihnen abgesondert hatte, um den HERRN, den GottGott IsraelsIsraels, zu suchen, aßen das PassahPassah. 21 And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,
22 Und sie feierten das Fest der ungesäuerten BroteBrote sieben TageTage mit Freuden; denn der HERR hatte ihnen FreudeFreude gegeben und ihnen das HerzHerz des Königs von AssyrienAssyrien zugewandt, so dass er ihre Hände stärkte in dem Werk des Hauses GottesGottes, des GottesGottes IsraelsIsraels.22 And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
