1 He that dwelleth3427 in the secret5643 place of the most High5945 shall abide3885 under the shadow6738 of the Almighty7706.¹ 2 I will say559 of the LORD3068, He is my refuge4268 and my fortress4686: my God430; in him will I trust982. 3 Surely he shall deliver5337 thee from the snare6341 of the fowler3353, and from the noisome1942 pestilence1698. 4 He shall cover5526 thee with his feathers84, and under his wings3671 shalt thou trust2620: his truth571 shall be thy shield6793 and buckler5507. 5 Thou shalt not be afraid3372 for the terror6343 by night3915; nor for the arrow2671 that flieth5774 by day3119; 6 Nor for the pestilence1698 that walketh1980 in darkness652; nor for the destruction6986 that wasteth7736 at noonday6672. 7 A thousand505 shall fall5307 at thy side6654, and ten thousand7233 at thy right hand3225; but it shall not come nigh5066 thee. 8 Only with thine eyes5869 shalt thou behold5027 and see7200 the reward8011 of the wicked7563.
