4 One generation1755 passeth away1980, and another generation1755 cometh935 935: but the earth776 abideth5975 for ever5769. 5 The sun8121 also ariseth2224, and the sun8121 goeth down935, and hasteth7602 to his place4725 where he arose2224.¹ 6 The wind7307 goeth1980 toward the south1864, and turneth about5437 unto the north6828; it whirleth about continually1980, and the wind7307 returneth again7725 according to his circuits5439. 7 All the rivers5158 run1980 into the sea3220; yet the sea3220 is not full4392; unto the place4725 from whence the rivers5158 come1980, thither they return7725 again3212.² 8 All things1697 are full of labour3023; man376 cannot3201 utter1696 it: the eye5869 is not satisfied7646 with seeing7200, nor the ear241 filled4390 with hearing8085.

9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done6213 is that which shall be done6213: and there is no new2319 thing under the sun8121. 10 Is there3426 any thing1697 whereof it may be said559, See7200, this is new2319? it hath been already3528 of old time5769, which was before6440 us. 11 There is no remembrance2146 of former7223 things; neither shall there be any remembrance2146 of things that are to come314 with those that shall come after314.
